These GI Joe record book's really fired up the imagination! My buddy and I would flip when his mother brought one of these home from the grocery store! This was back when the average family owned only one TV, and your channels came in over-the-air (mid 1970's).

Seriously! The voices and inflections came from waaaaay back in my memory. Wow, that was fun for this 55-yr-old to re-live. Thanks for posting!

The foreigners' accents sound vaguely South American and one of their names is Pablo, the name of the country sounds like Somalia in Africa, and Festival of Rampala sounds Indian. It seems like it was written by someone with no grasp of what any foreign country is like, which I didn't notice as a child in the 1970's. In some ways, this seems like a precursor of "Indiana Jones" right down to the golden idol and trouble with snakes!
