Sir, I'm from NAGALAND. I'm really thankful to the American missionaries who liberated this head hunting land, where bloodshed was the culture through head hunting. It's already a century and counting for some parts of Nagaland who were converted into Christianity, and some of us are chasing the century score taking shelter in the living God. If it wasn't these Angeles send by God, this land might have been full of bloodshed and human skulls. I wonder if God has forgiven for the sins my ancestors did, ofcourse I'm a sinner in a way too. I'm sure God is watching the changes we take while we live here for a short while. Nagaland for Christ has been the motto, liberated by the CROSS against the blood stained Machete. Thanks be to God.

I have been sick lately and weak. I was very low in spirit today and couldn't shake it off. It felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders for the immense evil that has strangled and destroyed peoples lives and especially the innocent children who have had so much horrific evil done to them. I prayed, spent time in The Word, bound Satan, resisted him, and yet the low spirit persisted. I finally was able to get a hold of my daughter and she prayed with me and gave me great words of love and encouragment. She told me to find some good gospel music and focus on that rather than all the bad news AND GUESS WHAT....This is the first one I clicked on. I soooooooo needed this right now, today, February 9th 2024 and I call it as God's beautiful blessing to me to remind me how much HE, Almighty God, loves me. Thank you my wonderful, amazing father.

My ancestors fled Scotland 400 years ago to come to America. It is an amazing story of love. They came across on a ship actually called the "True Love". For the next 7 generations they were pastors in what became the United States after a scuffle and hubbub. Your music strikes to my very soul, takes me back to my roots, it touches me like no other. @@adelekeadebimpeatinuke2184Thank you. There were two brothers. Both were mercenaries who chose poorly and fought on the wrong side of a Scottish clan war. My ancestor went to France, stole bread and was sent to a French New Guinea prison. The other brother went to the UK and organized pilgrims, purchased a ship called the True Love, sprang his brother and went to the colonies. The rest is history. Yeah, cool story. Scottish mercenary blood still runs through my veins though it has thinned out a bit!

Your ancestors probably would role in their grave, if they knew, what an ungodly place Scotland and UK has become today. Heck, let's say all of Western Europe really! The reigning religion here now is ATHEISM, sprinkled with Hollywood and other entertainments succesful promotion of New Age occultism and outright witchcraft! I have lived in Scotland many years ago, mostly in Hotel jobs in the highlands, and I sure did not meet many Christians, if any at all. The favorite church nowadays seems to be the local pub. This is also, why this band was such a shocking revelation to me: Almost two decades after having lived in that place for over 3 years, I have met the first Scottish brethren now, though it be only on this platform.

How deep the Father’s love for us, How vast beyond all measure, That He should give His only Son To make a wretch His treasure. How great the pain of searing loss - The Father turns His face away, As wounds which mar the Chosen One Bring many sons to glory. Behold the man upon a cross, My sin upon His shoulders; Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice Call out among the scoffers. It was my sin that held Him there Until it was accomplished; His dying breath has brought me life - I know that it is finished. I will not boast in anything, No gifts, no power, no wisdom; But I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection. Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer; But this I know with all my heart - His wounds have paid my ransom.(2) How deep the Father’s love for us, How vast beyond all measure, That He should give His only Son To make a wretch His treasure.

This speaks to me: "I will not boast in anything. No gifts, no power, no wisdom. But I will boast in Jesus Christ His death and resurrection. Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer. But this I know with all my heart. His wounds have paid my ransom." I have played this video many times over the past few days, and these lines speak to me in a personal way. Soon after I gave my life to Christ as a teenager, I felt led into ministry. After college I went to seminary. My entire life was oriented around entering ministry. Then, it all fell apart. I never could find any work. Many people I knew in seminary would not help. I felt ignored and discarded. Instead of doing what I had long had a passion to do, I was forced to work jobs that treated me like a drone and made me miserable. I wondered what the point of it had been. I felt like I had wasted so many years of my life. I had been interested in theology and church history, but eventually I wanted nothing to do with them. I did not even want to look at my books (but strangely, I could not bring myself to get rid of them). I became so depressed that I considered leaving church completely (but by God's preserving grace I never did). I carried so much resentment toward many people for many years. Six years ago I was still stuck in a job that I hated, and which was destroying my body, and so I resigned and went back to school in a completely different field, while still struggling with resentment. I accumulated debt, which I am still paying off, but I finally have a good job. I have no complaints about the job. I am treated like a real person, and I make enough to live and steadily pay off my debt. I have made great strides in letting go the resentment. But over the past several months, I have come to feel that my passion is not in this new field. My interest in ministry, theology, and church history has returned. I have begun to wonder whether God had to send me through a deep desert to teach me more humility and to strip me of all expectations of how my life should turn out so that He could prepare me for whatever He has planned. I do not know what the next move will be, and so I am still in the same job, but this has been heavy in my prayers recently. Why am I writing all of this here? I felt like I needed to. It was therapeutic for me, and maybe it will help someone. When I was still in seminary, I learned through experience that some kinds of Christian growth come only through hardship. I am now learning that again. When we sing the lines quoted above, we abandon claim to any credit for ourselves regarding our salvation. I have also needed to abandon any manmade expectation of what my life in ministry should be and just humbly accept what God has planned.
@wilm38645 ай бұрын
I have also come to a stronger appreciation of what Christ did. I already genuinely trusted Him for salvation more than 30 years ago, but I now feel it on a deeper level. “Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer.” Absolutely. Why would God choose to save me? Why would He choose to use me? Certainly not because of any merit or special skill in me. It is only by His grace that I am redeemed. It is also by His grace alone that He would choose to use me, and so my only response can be to humbly put aside my expectations and pray, “Here I am. What do YOU want me to do? I am for You to use as You choose.” It has taken me many years to reach this point, but it is the only response I can give.

We need prayer 🙏 we are staying in a area where there is so much of crime! This area has bars and loud music and evil activities going on. If there is anyone reading this we need the Lord to change this area in an area of prayer, worship and revival.

This song has always needed to be sung Celtic. Thank this tremendous group for breathing its spirit and portraying it so brilliantly. And thank Stuart Townend, who has the gift to compose music that sounds both fresh and as if it has been in existence forever. Perfectly timeless.

But this i know with all my heart! His wounds have paid my ransom! Hallelujah what a God we serve today. We dont serve a dead god or a god of stone or wood. But we serve The Living God! The one who gave his son for us! Little insignificant us. That he takes our fears our anxieties and makes them nothing. That the chains of sin fall at the mere mention of the name Jesus! If you havent given your life to him. You can anywhere not just in a church. And any time not just on sunday morning or evening. Today is the day of salvation. Put your trust in him and watch your life change!

Not so old. This hymn is copyright 1995 and was written by Stuart Townend, who is English. You may be confusing it with a different hymn.
