@@celts153 what bluetooth module did you use? Becker offers service to modify your old radio but they only offer mono and it costs $150

Not a simple one ! If you have an external DAB receiver you can use the Bluetooth module (also provide aux) to inject the signal in the radio. But not easy and requires an external module. But whith BT any smartphone can be used to receive radio through data ! 😉

This is a creative way to utilize the original radio but this is not Bluetooth, at least not in its actual connection to the radio. The antenna interrupt may be bluetooth. This tech has been around for 30 plus years. It goes between the antenna and the radio and sends its own radio signal interrupting the normal broadcast system. We used this a lot on 10 disc CD changers back in the day. The sound is decent but not as good as what we have now. Great for showing people though.

Sorry but you are wrong. This is not a FM module... This Bluetooth module is directly included in the radio, injecting audio signal just before the audio processor (and shutting normal audio signal). The cut off is manage by the bluetooth module and you can directly manage the source you want. (FM, Bluetooth streaming, Telephone from your phone). The sound quality is as good as it is possible with this kind of unit, and suffer no parasite.

@@celts153 Interesting, so you opened the radio up and added a bluetooth module directly into it? Ok well that isn't the same you're right. I'm wondering why you didn't use a the retrosound grandprix M4HD? Of course this is not an exact match but a nice alternative.

@@DFP1975B I guess you soldered the BT to the audio IC processor ( possible the same than the tape audio signal, left and right and ground. )I guess you also set a trigger so that the IC notices the signal and switches from radio to the signal Not sure if it is IC 301 or similar
