Sigsworth sent her a demo backing track containing a sample from the 1993 British film The Cement Garden, directed by Andrew Birkin, in which the voice of actress Charlotte Gainsbourg speaks softly, "Girls can wear jeans and cut their hair short, wear shirts and boots. 'Cause it's OK to be a boy. But for a boy to look like a girl is degrading. 'Cause you think that being a girl is degrading. But secretly you'd love to know what it's like... Wouldn't you? Dressing as boy and as a girl is something that society created. Having long hair doesn't make your a girl, wearing a skirt doesn't make you a girl, wearing a tie doesn't make you a boy. Your body shows if you're a boy or girl, not your clothes, clothes come and go. Men used to wear skirts some centuries ago, heels were created for men, men at the 1800s used to wear make-up and wigs. It's all just stupid society rules that have destroy us.

No it makes perfect sense. To translate it to you given our time; when Justin Bieber first turned huge teenage girls adored him. But because teenage girls adored him men started hating him. His hair, his voice everything. But then JB started appealing to boys and boys wanted to be more like him and BOOM he was ok and cool. Men find things women love effeminate and thus disgusting. But are also societally restrained from liking anything a woman likes and that leaves them desire. So basically they suffer in the system they created.
