Really great work! You must be very patient in order to remove the cement film from the top with the sponge. The cement with the weather conditions and the rain has the problem of starting to loose the thickness of it's surface. Is there any material you can apply on it to help it last longer, like a varnish or something?

Do you acid-wash afterwards? If not then maybe test using 2% HCl.
