Hi Charlie, I love to watch you plough after my Day of horror. I work in Germany doing the same kind of job. Whe have all sort of spreaders on our jobsites. From tractor pulled types to selfpropelled tillers with spreader build in. But ass long as I'm doing this, why has no one built a spreaderbox who you can hang on a blade of a dozer. Just a small box with a engine and a few yards of cement/ flour like we call it. That would solve the worst spots. And a litte tip maybe, whe do sometimes when its real bad. Spread en til at a dry spot and load it and haul it to the worst places.

Charlie did you ever consider those eco tracks that go over the tamdems? They use them a lot on forestry equipment like forwarders and bogie skidders but I have never seem them on a haul truck before? It might give you a little more floatation and be a little cheaper than duals.
@imchris50002 жыл бұрын

For wet spots a rotortiller on a farm tractor 4x4 axel duals would work in cement till it sets up. A 8630 deere will walk on water with 8 wheels bin there . Plowed in a swamp with 8 furrows 18" , 12' wide near Grand Bend Ontario Canada.

Needs a winch on a dozer. Much better to pull by winch then by cable. There are logging chains that go over forestry tires if it is the back that sinks in on the truck.

@Elwould232 жыл бұрын
How hard would it be to have the spreader broadcast the portland to the side of the unit? That way it can stay on amended soil. Not that you wouldnt still have issues with the reclaimer. But at least you could keep the spreader on firmer soil. Just a thought, not sure if it's feasible.

Charlie, it's always amazing to watch how much you can transform that slop into something awesome!
