EDIT--The bodies were not removed, the head stones were. Bodies are still there.

Need flat out sealant too, the sportsman formula from them. half of the bag per tire, that flat woulda been sealed, few wheel rotations from puncture (or when you remove the penetrating object) and it'll be sealed right aup. unless theres a crater size hole in the tire. I've learned this the hard way, several times. Nails and screws you think wouldnt get past the liners, they do. only small ones wont get past the liners. comboing liners + flatout. if you get a flat then call it divine intervention.

thanks for taking us along for the ride, good idea on the (walking mode) cruise control for this stranded scenario! I'm sure there is a way to program this. sorry about the flat but now I know the liners aren't impenetrable.

Lesson is bring the tools and supplies to fix a flat and make sure that you bring some food and water with you.

With the tannis liners, couldn't you have slowly ridden home?

I didn't want to risk damaging the wheel. It was sitting on the rim even with the liner once it went flat. I may have been able to limp it home without ruining the wheel, but I'm not sure.

No, you can with smaller sized tires, normal bicycle sizes but not fat tires.

Any plans for carrying a tire patch kit?

Lol. I actually had one with me. I just wasn't sure if I could have done it. After breaking two of my tire lever tools in my garage today replacing the tube, I would have been right.
