Cemu 1.19.0d - Zelda Breath of the Wild Vulkan (Async) 60fps 1440p - Gameplay showcase

Revisiting Cemu 3 years later using the latest Cemu 1.19.0d build for Zelda Breath of the Wild using the Vulkan api at 60fps 1440p. Also testing the amazing new Async feature which means no more stuttering loading shader cache's + no need to create/build your own cache to eliminate stuttering. The progress Cemu has made is incredible and finally being able to play in 60fps locked at 1440p with extremely rare/almost non existant stutter is a wonderful experience. Vulkan and the Async feature are a game changer.

This looks really great. I've never been a PC guy, I usually play my ps4 which lags a whole lot on some games, and a switch lite for portable gaming. 60FPS on botw would be really great specially in parrying and flurry rushes. It's kinda sad though that you need an emulation to play a game better than its main console

No, zelda doesn't support 60fps, and to achieve it, modders just sped up all animations. It looks janky af.

@@terminatorgamingyt651 it was originally developed for WiiU, switch version was made late in the development of BotW. It's not as easy as "to just add it", they'd need to remade every single animation to make it 60fps.

Great video ! Yeah it was a gaming changer for me here as a new cemu player! So I do not need to download and use someone's else shaders right? I have indentical specs 5700xt , ryzen and 1440p monitor, and I would like to use reshade cause it looks too bright for my taste...have you ever tried? do you have any guide to recommend me?

Yea it's not normally that bright I'm using reshade in the video, haven't sorted my preferences out yet, I think BSOD gaming has a reshade guide for zelda botw

Solo va a 60 fps y esta a mayor resolución, eso no es un remaster. It only goes to 60 fps and is at higher resolution, that's not a remaster

I’m generally new to this emulator, and I dumped the game from an actual Wii U copy. I played it in cemu but I’m getting 15-20 FPS and the game is generally slow (freezing for a few seconds, lagging) how do I fix this? I have a intel core i7-9750H and a Nvidia RTX 2060 6gb

Try to watch a few tutorials. You should be getting more fps for sure. I got a 2070 and depending on where I am its anywhere from 60-90

The issue I find with async is that it doesn’t work on every nvidia patch. Right now I am on the 445.86 and I can’t use async :(

Needs to be an nvidia driver with Vulkan 1.2. 445.86 only has 1.1

Yup! I own in on the switch and this beats it by miles, 60fps 1440p instead of docked 900p, can also apply reshade/change lighting. Not to mention mods/cheats for having fun. It's like having a Zelda Breath of the Wild remaster.

Just wondering when you say in the description no need to create/build your own cache to eliminate stuttering, do you mean I can just download and install that 11k merged shader cache and it won't ever pop up with the shader compiling notifications?

Yes, however when it comes to using someone else's shader cache there is always the potential of reducing stability/ the addition of graphical error's. Also the great thing about Async is that it works with every-game which means smaller games/less popular titles which don't have good merged shader cache's no longer are a problem. Also the feature is currently "experimental" so in future updates I greatly expect you will be able to hide the "shader compiling" notifications. Although if you're an nvidia user and running a gtx 970 or below I would probably still recommend the Open GL API with the 11k merged shader cache.

Darcy Vendy how would I do that? I have a I5 9400 with a GTX 1650 with 8GB of 2666mhz ram. I’m getting stutters in botw and in xenoblade X. I I don’t know how to get rid of the stutters and there isn’t any good guides out there. Am I just screwed if I have an Nvidia card?

@@rubberduck1915 Look up BSODgaming man. Every time a major update comes out for cemu he releases a beginning to end setup guide on how to do it. Your specs are better than mine and I'm at a locked 60fps with no stutter or errors at all using his guide

Yea I had it installed for Witcher 3 but it auto applied when using Cemu.

@@beanslol1725 Nah Cemu evolved a lot recently. Along with the right settings I had over 30fps while managing to make the game look even better

@@beanslol1725 Yeah true. I actually thought Cemu couldn't improve it any better but they still do. Pretty impressive. And loading the shaders shouldn't be any problem once you explored everything at least once. Also 30fps is playable at least. You'll get used to it

@@danvillena279 You should be getting more than 40 with that setup have you turned on Triplecore-Recompiler? You should be getting like 60-80 unlocked and 60fps fully locked.

You can probably run it at 60fps your gpu and ram are perfect. Your CPU is pretty damn good as well, I'd say 60fps. Worst case scenario 48-60fps.

Gambar -Kun yep legit, I’m using ryzen 5 2400g at 720p before, stutters as hell. Now with a-sync at 1080p no stutters highest graphics, medium shadows. At 20-30p no stutters just enjoyment. I’m gonna try to post a video of it because it really is incredible.
