Cenk Uygur's (host of The Young Turks) recent appearance on C-SPAN's "Washington Journal" hosted by Kimberly Atkins to discuss 2016 and the Progressive Movement.
From C-SPAN: Cenk Uygur talked about his support of Senator Bernie Sanders' (I-VT) bid for the Democratic presidential nomination, as well as the future of his campaign following a loss in four out of five states on April 26, 2016. He talked about what the Sanders candidacy had meant for the progressive movement. He was critical of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and said he did not think she would be a progressive president despite her campaign rhetoric. Other topics included possible vice presidential candidates.

***** specifically the thing that gets my goat the most, is Cenk's fixation on guns. TYT/Cenk devotes a lot of time to attacking, either guns, gun owners or the second amendment itself. Which you'd think I wouldn't care because I'm moderate at best on the issue so why would it bother me so much?, its because TYT is as close as it gets to real reporting on the real issues. And generally Cenk and TYT focus on the real problems affecting us all. Mostly... But when they go off on a tirade about what some dumbass people do with guns, it really makes them look bad and it turns off millions of people to they're message because TYT turns into 'liberal' fox news on this issue. Its a real tragedy because, in general, despite what the media forces on us, Death by a firearm is doesn't even make the top 30-40, maybe 50 causes of preventable death in this country. With death by 'assault' weapon is even in the top 100,maybe 200!! It doesn't take much research to quickly figure this out. So to see Cenk and TYT do what they do is bad journalism at best, or irresponsible and misleading abuse of they're influence at worst. If 'real focus' on 'real issues' is what they are all about. Not just pushing they're personal agenda. Even if they believe its 'progressive'. That is not my view of progressive. And I would defend any issues I felt they made unfair attacks on. I just want them to stay on point and never give in to un-researched childish attacks on *anything*.

Daniel Valerio Cruz is only able to run because he was born from one of the parents who had American citizenship, the only controversial part is his mother who held a dual citizenship at that time, which might cause a problem or inconsistency with him able to run, but the rule/Natural-born-citizen clause isn't clear about how person is able to run who was born from parent who was dual citizen. And you are sadly mistaken, the rule absolutely matters. This is the US, any clowns or fools can run for presidency. Ever heard of Ronald Reagan? MyLostTemple Mistaken? No absolutely not. I'm fully aware Ronald Reagan was an actor. However, that was a horrible example, and I will tell you why. First, he was not a hot head clown celebrity with the maturity of a ten year old who started twitter fights the second someone disagreed with him(which I know there was no twitter back then, but simply just an example). Second, you forgot to mention he also served as governor of California. My problem is not with Trump being a celebrity, but with him having zero experience in running anything. How can we possibly hand the responsibility of leadership of the greatest country and strongest military in the planet to this clown who has no experience? Just because he has fame and money, should not be a ticket to presidency. When one applies for a high end job, one is expected to put previous experiences on job application. President should not be an exception, especially when it's the highest position in our land. If he really cared for running for president, the least he could've done was provide us with some history and could have put a little effort in being a dictator of some state or city, before jumping straight into president. We have foolish laws such as Citizen's United that protect corporations under the first amendment and allows them to donate infinite amount of money to candidates, and in return get favors if those candidates get elected. Asking for Cenk to be a possible president does not sound nearly as foolish as that. It was also something I didn't expect anyone to take too seriously. I was simply showing my support for this amazing progressive man, and show that he would be someone I would definitely vote for if he could possibly run for president. I will not die if Cenk is never considered for president. There are many progressives popping up. This progressive movement is for reals. Nothing can stop it. It may not be Cenk or Bernie who make that change, but both are the foundation of what is to come. Older generations that have conformed to living in a rigged corrupt political system are dying, while new ones that tend to be a lot more progressive are rising. It's only a matter of time.
