I believe that Rider transformed more quickly, because she had no need to get back to the human world quickly she completed her goal. Horse was resisting until she finally relaxed.

Well she wasn't actively fighting it she was happy and with her best friend. When horse first got there she was scared and confused it wasn't until she found her self that the change started.

While I think the puffy hair looks cute, the color really does not suit Rider at all. Horse got to keep her natural hair color when she got Centaurworld-ified, why couldn’t Rider get some nice floofy brown hair instead of that weird purply pink?

Actually, I think Horse’s coat color was gray before her transformation, now her coat color is slightly blue tinted instead of gray. So I think Rider’s hair color changing from Brown to pastel Purple kinda makes sense. (Why purple? Maybe because it’s one of the colors that’s closest to brown?…that’s my idea anyway).

The bear-tar said that she leaves for long periods of time, so I think she goes to the human world in that time to prevent changes. Meanwhile, I assumed Rider's recovery took a while and she never left the house in that time. But I also think the changes of Centaurworld happen with friendship, and Mysterious Woman barely has friends (lol bearly) while Rider has the gang

I saw a theory saying that the changes could be determined by how much the person feels like they belong in that world. Horse' changes started happening more and more as she got comfortable with the Centaurs, meanwhile the Elktaur lived in Centaurworld, and yet, looked far less whimsical. And here, Riders' hair changes moments after she agrees to stay in Centaurworld with Horse.

The reason I believe rider changed so quickly is because she was more comfortable. Rider was able to come into the world with horse, but horse was wanting to get back to rider from the start. Horse wasn’t able to relax at the time.

The strange woman didn't feel at home in centaur world. I'm pretty sure the way it works is that creatures reflect the style of the place they fell most at home in, so when we first meet Ryder and horse they look serious, but over time horse changes to look more like the centaurs because she felt home there. During this scene we see Ryder changing because she's agreed to stay with horse in centaur world.
