A 400 grain arrow at 430 gives approx 164 FP of energy. I put 535 grain arrow in my Wrath 430 which includes the lighted nocks and 150 grain broadheads. Reduced speed to 400 fps. I switched to an adjustable scope and it continues to hit silver dollar groups at 50 yards. My FP energy is up to 190.

I want to see that 535 grain arrow through a chronograph with that Wrath. Every Wrath I’ve seen shooting through a chronograph wasn’t even close to 430fps with a 400 grain arrow.

​​@@user-ew4ov8vd7twhat would be a opinion on going to lite of a bolt because of limb pressure if everything a 400 recommended will 370 be pushing to lite to get that higher speed?Most people want heaver bolt more k energy but seems to me a faster speed hitting deer is just as good for shot through.

​@michaelyork7844 lighter bolts can cause limb damage. It's similar effects to a dry fire. That is one of the major reasons you hear of so many cracked limbs in bow shooting over 400ft per second. 400gr should be the absolute minimum for any bow at 400ft. I would actually go around the 460- 500 gr for that bow to keep it safe.

Just ordered a wrath 430x. I see a comment come up on the wrath about using a heavier arrow onnit or "you'll be sorry" im assuming that they mean you could have string or limb failers if you dont go up in weight. Ive also heard 435 grains is a good weight for this xbow. So can i just add weight in getting a heavier tip or do i need to get all new arrows that are heavier? If i do go to something heavier do i have to replace the scope with one that has speed settings?

Do the lighted knocks change your FOC? One of the reasons I switched to 125 grain field tips and broadheads was to give me some better front end balance especially if I'm using a heavier nock. Good illustration by the way

Yes….lighted nocks move FOC back so you need a proportional weight fwd as well

It appears that you have two shoulder pads/spacers installed to adjust your LOP. Where did you get the 2nd one?

If you add tail weight you should up your FOC … I have good slow motion examples of what happens if you do not. Even if you slow this shot down to 350 FPS with a 50 yard shot it’s a certain death shot with this bow. The best bolt is center punch by ten point and they have lit knocks engineered into the bolt. I used a mechanical and have zero drift.

That seems to be too heavy, arrow alone 455gr, plus 150gr head to keep good FOC, we are at 605gr likely reduce speed a lot. I would guess it would be ‹350fps

I think adding a lighted nock and a 150gr head would put total weight at 479gr, would expect 380fps
