Alee! What a treat! Your video's are such a huge inspiration! And the quality just keep getting better! Been following since the first episode of your American adventure. Its been a wonderful series so far. Im in love with your narration and the way you document the environment and I'm amazed by the commitment in all the bike shots you keep on capturing - i'm sure you would travel far longer without them, but we wouldn't get a sense of the skill required in traveling these parts of the world on two wheels. My Girlfriend and I went on our first bike travel this summer. From our home ind Denmark to the mountains of Norway and back. The trip would not have been the same without all the knowledge, tips and tricks from cyclingabout.com. Keep up the good work! Your an inspiration to all cyclist around the World Kind Regards and a merry christmas from Denmark!

I’ve just discovered you channel and straight away really enjoy it. How often does water become an issue? I imagine for me it would be constant thorn in my side. I’d also like to know where you source your music from, I really enjoy it
@Cyclingabout4 жыл бұрын
Water is almost never an issue. There is a tap in every town, shops attached to houses, and rivers in between (I filter my water). You can find the music sources in the video description.

Really enjoying your Americas videos. Just found your channel. You get some amazing camera angles of riding and scenery. Love your videography style and narration! S. Patagonia was incredible!!! I'm definitely going adventure cycling! What tires do you like the most, btw?
@Cyclingabout4 жыл бұрын
Welcome aboard! It depends on the tyre width and terrain. I think the Schwalbe Almotion is the best touring slick, and the Schwalbe Mondial is the best touring all-rounder. The Vittoria Mezcal Is my favourite fast-grippy MTB tyre. I'm currently testing the new Schwalbe Hurricanes, we'll see how they go...

I've noticed that you don't use front suspension while traveling. Is that for weight saving?

No, it's for simplicity. I ride a lot, so I would need to service a suspension fork a lot if i wanted it to work well.

A question I wanted to ask a long time ago, is there no risk in crossing these roads, drug traffickers.. etc.
@Cyclingabout5 жыл бұрын
I've never experienced anyone with bad intentions on the roads I ride. Unsavoury people can be anywhere, but the backroads are 99.9999% just local farmers who are busy doing farming things.

Where do you suggest to ride in south/ central America in 6 months of time ?
@Cyclingabout5 жыл бұрын
OFF COURSE IS OF COURSE - traveling the world Depends on the type of roads you like to ride, for my style of travel I’d do Northern Argentina to Ecuador again in a heartbeat! Six months would allow you to experience most things.
