Central Tire Inflation and Deflation on a 1986 Tatra 815 6x6

I have tried to go a bit more in depth about how the central tire inflation and deflation system works that is build-in into the Tatra 815 from 1986. A very cool part of the Tatra as I say so myself. For 1986 I feel that it is very well engineered! But there is room for improvement as I will show you in this video!

Out of curiosity: How important is the per-wheel valve for you? It looks like you could save a lot of space and complexity if you would not use that manual valve in each wheel. It would I guess mean the tire pressure would be equalized over all wheels? Good job!

It would be very helpful when you get a small puncture as you could inflate the tire more regularly until you find a spot to change the tire. Or after you have changed the tire, you can inflate just the one 😄 But generally if we would go off/on road it makes more sense to inflate and deflate all of them and yes it will equalize them if all are open 😄
