There were some security concern with this design. Mainly the proposal of central Secretariat where they want to open it for public. We all know terrorist attacks has been a main concern for our country. 2.There proposed watch tower. The government did not want to erect a building which would have been the thrice the height of India Gate. Even according to HCP's plan height of all the central secretariat building will be lower than the height of India Gate keeping it's importance and nature in mind. 3.The new parliament building design was not pleasing .

Central Vista project is a development project to facilitate the ministerial working and cater to unaccommodating office spaces in various ministry. Essentially it is more of a facility development project rather than a project for aesthetics. The goal is to develop efficient office spaces without any ostentation. (come on, do you think sarkari babu need these) The design above would be good for airports and malls but it would be flop for an office building which houses the administration branch and needs security and tight vigil. The design by bimal Patel ticks all the right boxes and provides better traffic flow management. And the idea of underground metro connecting all the secretariat buildings wraps the the traffic into a secure isolated bubble.

Please watch news interviews and educate yourself. For starters, current parliament can't even hold all our MPs together if they all decide to come. Moreover, we are due for a delimitation programme across India. With an increase in population since the last time it was done, more wards will be carved out and hence more MPs. Where will these new MPs sit? on the floor? The current building is old and completely dilapidated. It was not meant for having AC offices with modern lighting and technology. The ceiling leaks and piping is burst at many places. Repairing an old structure for which you don't even have blueprints for can create more problems than solutions. Not even starting with the Housing and offices of other ministries where some toilets and places are not at all useable. We are currently paying a lot of rent for housing our own MPs and for their offices in private complexes when we have dedicated land for it.

@@bitik9847 so you want to delay the delimitation of eletrorate by 10 years? Also, this whole infrastructure will create a centralised connected government structure, which can lead to high efficiency in working. Right now, to do any work a file has to pass multiple ministry offices, which are spread across the city. Which means so much time and logistical cost spent on simply moving around bureaucrats and files. When all ministries will come next to each other, the amount of time and money spent will decrease, decision making will be faster, security will be streamlined and many other things. This is will surely reflect on our GDP in future and people will look back and think how stupid we were to not do it this way earlier. Our system right now is super inefficient.

@@dheeraj7744 From what I can see here, I'm the one giving the logical reasoning behind this decision and you are the one who is just making a political accusation. Care to tell me again how am I the one who is brainwashed and not you? Bas koi bhi cheej main politics daal diya and you feel big about yourself having nailed an argument.
@ShoeBum1234 жыл бұрын
@@dheeraj7744 Yeah right, coz you know better than all people working there. Government spends 1000 Crore Rupees every year just to pay rent for all the ministry offices across Delhi. Go do your math and see if this project will save money or waste money. Oh wait, doing this won't inflate your ego like you are used to by showing the government down. Just comeback with your senseless political accusation again, that'll do.
@ShoeBum1234 жыл бұрын
@@dheeraj7744 Show me one response of government where they said that they are going to make the central vista instead of an economic package? They are just as unrelated as any other project in India. Firstly economic package is pointless at this point. It will come when economy starts again. And we've enough sources to raise that capital for a package. No govt is dumb to not have any package at all in an economic crisis. But first we need to measure up the crisis, which will only happen in June.

I am glad this didn’t win. India is a poor country. We can’t afford things like the tower or the Patel statue. If we must have grand structures, let them be functional like biggest dam, longest bridge etc.

How many IAS head Medical Council of India? And how many doctors? I know IAS are one major factor holding this country back, but sorry, Medical Council of India is one of the largest reasons of India's healthcare woes. Corruption is rampant in them and they control the number of medical seats in a despicable manner. As for the Central Vistas project: It is projected to save 1000 crore Rupees every single year in terms of rent that GoI was paying for government offices scattered all across Delhi. After the Central Vistas project is done, all government offices will be together saving transit time, reducing traffic congestion in New Delhi. Also, the existing parliament will need to be expanded in 2026. We now need 868 seats in Lok Sabha because our population has grown.
