One comment on the coverage: The high view of the putting greens, where available, were much better than the normal view of the putts. I think you got a much better feel for the distance and angle. I realize that logistically it's not always an alternative, but where available it was kind of nice.

It's amazing to see same kind of ending for both FPO and MPO divisions. Loosing it on the last shot 😪
@rickcarter74953 жыл бұрын
sorry but you cannot call this the same type of ending as the MPO with the hole out James Conrad did on the 18th to force a playoff. This lead FPO card for final round struggled some. There was a lot of lackluster play. Lisa Faikus had it going well for most of the round until her putting fell apart. Kat did put in a great 3rd shot to put pressure on Paige. As good as Paige is even up 1 shot with opponent on the green I would have not gone for green necessarily and taken a fairly safe shot but done more than a jump-putt layup to then have a long layup 3rd which Paige had a really poor stroke on. I just did not think that was a champion type of shots Paige had to end the last hole. In MPO there were several extremely great shots on that last 9 holes even before James's great holeout! Tons of birdies and great play by MPO that last 9.
@james1x1x1x13 жыл бұрын
@@rickcarter7495 Everyone knows the FPO will never play as good as the MPO. Also it was Cat's second shot. Also it was the same ending. Both 5x slept on the challengers and tried to play safe on 18 and got rekt for doing so.

@flyingfishsurf3 жыл бұрын
They both played it as any pro would play it. You play the odds. Paige couldn't even keep her putter inbounds on that tightly shaped green. Deviating from the logical play is always risky. Hindsight is always 20/20. Your strategy will fail you more often than not.
@ajvaxxi76163 жыл бұрын
I don't like talking bad about people but Pierce is really starting to be a gloater. Im happy to see her lose sadly as all I ever hear anymore is her talking about how great she is and how she is the best there ever was. Catrina deserved the win here great job throwing!
@johnwoodard87173 жыл бұрын
Pierce isn't a gloater. When you win, and win, and win, and you're always expected to say something about that win, it can start to sound like that. But the last interview after she beat Cat in a close one she did absolutely anything but gloat (in fact she lamented that her and Cat used to be best friends). Don't get me wrong, Pierce is confident to the point of arrogance (as many sports stars are, and you could argue need to be); once again it's hard not to be when you win most of the tournaments you enter. She really needs Cat, Hailey, and Lisa to start pushing her more.
@aklevin3 жыл бұрын
Paige doesn't gloat. She states matter-of-factly what she believes to be true. It's confidence, but she never rubs it in anyone's face.

Prime example of don’t lay up…
@prattacaster3 жыл бұрын
It doesn't seem to work out. KJ lost a couple tourneys ago with the lay up smart play, Paul could have won being aggressive, and Paige could have won. I like that Paul and Paige didn't win honestly, or rather, I love that Conrad and Cat won.
@zanierrules3 жыл бұрын
@@prattacaster The smart play when you're up 1 and the opponent has a circle's edge birdie putt is to lay up. Hindsight is obviously 20/20 but if she ripped a 2nd shot and went OB then people would be harping on her for not laying up. Same with Paul. You go with the odds and you USUALLY will win. You could probably circle back to all the times they laid up and won, but of course, no one remembers those.
@bradberger30933 жыл бұрын
That was pretty rough. I think it goes back to 17 when she hit that tree. She should've had a par there and I believe she would've been teeing off first on 18. Not only would she have had a two shot lead, but she could've really put the pressure on Cat to have a ridiculous drive. With that being said, her third shot on 18 was NOT good.
@johnwoodard87173 жыл бұрын
No, it's a prime example of don't shank your approach after a layup. That shot was terrible. If she gets that close she forces Cat to make a lengthy put with close OB just to force the playoff.
@Cad19003 жыл бұрын
These “Worlds” courses are substandard for a tournament of this magnitude...sorry. Competition and coverage was great however.
