As the daughter of a soldier, this videos always get to me. I was so lucky to have my dad come home safe from all 4 of his deployments. Never take for granted the families and the men and women that have sacrificed so much, sometimes even their lives, so that we can watch heart-warming videos like this.

Did you ever notice how many loved ones break down and the tears flow? Sure they are tears of happiness but also tears of release after all those days not knowing if their loved one was safe, or even coming home. That pressure is every day so that I why I say those who wait at home serve as well. Disabled combat Vietnam vet.

@brookemahan80632 жыл бұрын
Was just gonna say this. Except I was gonna say they should get paid more then reality stars. These people leave their families for months, sometimes years at a time. See terrible and life changing things. And if they’re lucky enough to come home, suffer ptsd from what they’ve been through and when they can no longer physically serve, some of them get treated like nothing! All the while the Kardashians wear shoes that cost more than what a soldier makes in probably several years! These “stars” get paid literal MILLIONS for posting a picture on ig. It’s DISGUSTING AND DISTURBING!

I remember when my Dad surprised my mom at chilis, she lost s shoe and nearly tipped over the table, i burst into tears as soon as i saw my Dad sitting with that goofy smile on his face. it breaks me a little to see all the hate, the military does not kill innocent children or women, they do not go over seas willingly. You can't just say no to your commanding officer when you deploy. You just can't, you just go. Most of the time its sudden, it kinda makes it easier, you say your good byes and leave... I remember when my Dad was given a two months notice before he left (thankfully they gave him a command instead so he ended up staying) I would be sent to not the councilors office but the school psychologist. I did that for two weeks until the Air Force told him we wasn't leaving after all and instead we were moving. (bittersweet, but at least i didn't have to trade schools, i only live 45 min away)

You know when someone tries to invade you and steal the natural resources of your country I think you will fight but as it's American army you will be called terrorist while protecting your country. I'm glad that Europe is not too rich in petroleum reserves US soldiers will not go here, at least for now...
