Railfanning, Skywatching and Shipspotting NC's Port City!

After a couple years observing Wilmington, NC's many forms of heavy industry, I decided to compile a showcase video. From the US Army running trains to Southport, the Coast Guard flying giant prop planes or the massive oceanliners that call ILM, it's a neat city for sure! Remarkable how this parallels my college experience living in Grand Rapids. Basically no local traffic at first blush but living there you get a rhythm of how things work locally and can adjust as needed! Something about necessity breeding innovation. Fantastic work here!

Appreciate it! It was probably for the best that I didn’t have too much train traffic to distract, but yes indeed - had to learn to “adapt” in a way. Makes it all the more fun!

I heard that they are going to reopen the malmo nc to whiteville for rj corman and Wilmington to Wallace part also for passenger service

I think both scenarios would be quite beneficial for the city of Wilmington, but unsure of the timeframe in which either will be accomplished
