Awesome sight. Just a side note, at 16:52, the "M" in MLW stands for Montreal, not Milwaukee. The M420W was a pure MLW product of the 1970's (Alco had already bitten the dust at this point), but in its heart, beats a classic turbocharged 12-251C. The BC-Rail-style K5H horn playing the classic Canadian chord is an added bonus.

Another great railroad to photograph is Andy's Reading & Northern. They are a very friendly railroad and once T-1 2102 gets finished, she'll be broken back into service on train, NRFF, the North Reading Fast Freight.

Pennsylvania native here! I was born in the Lehigh Valley and have been railfanning here for years. We are most definitely blessed with colorful shortlines and heritage railroads. My home state is still my favorite to railfan, even after nearly a decade.

Good thing you take advantage of it! Between the beautiful seasons and wide variety of trains, I have considered PA one of the best railfan states as well

Yes, 3642 is a real beast. I was lucky enough to see a lot of these 636's on CP in and around Farnham, Quebec before they sold the whole line .But that's another story. Cool video, I'm planning a trip myself to Lockport, New York to shoot their Alco's.

When we were at Steamtown five years ago the guide explained the logistics in getting that Big Boy from out west to PA as there are only so many tracks that can support it. In the mid 60's the engine went on tour and promptly derailed in a LHVRR yard near me in upstate NY. Great video in every way possible!
