How bout adding this to a Mach setup? I take it one input tells machine probe is in spindle and other input is trigger signal?

Hello Marty. I’m wondering how to speed up the travel move speed in between cuts. Watching it travel at 7.5 ipm to the next cut is torture. I was told it was something I had to do in acorn, not fusion 360. I can’t figure it out. Please help

Its in the KP-3 Probe manual. Look in the Wizard (Assuming you are using the latest version of CNC12) Under Probe Configuration, change the fast probe rate. Make sure you have setup the KP-3 per the manual. You are using a KP-3 aren't you?

@@martyscncgarage5275 no sorry, I just clicked on a random video of yours to ask a question about the travel moves on my cnc mill. I found something in cnc12 yesterday after I wrote that comment, that said if I’m using the hobbyist version of fusion 360 then my travel moves are going to be limited to the cutting speed. 🤦♂️. So that sucks. Unless you know another way around that.?

Hey Marty. I'm trying to set up my KP 3 touch probe. The company that did my conversion (LMS 3990) directed me to your channel for info. I need help with wiring please. On the Acorn KP-3 wiring drawing file S15020.DWG it shows connecting 2 wires to IN6 and IN7. On my board there is a wire already in IN6 for a limiter switch. What can I do to work around this and get the probe installed? Thanks in advance.

Use and assign an unused input. You will also need the detect to let the control know you have the KP3 connected. Those would be the two inputs. You have a third wire that needs to be wired to COM Please post to the Centroid User Forum. Post picture of your cable you received with KP-3 centroidcncforum.com/viewforum.php?f=60

Hi Marty, I was wondering if you could help me set up something simple just to get by with while I'm machining some parts. my problem is that I need a way to jog the x and y axis out from above the part so I can get a tool into the spindle, right now; the z goes to home position, and the part is in the way from putting a long tool into the spindle. I just scrapped my part, and i'm frustrated, and just need a way to sneak around this problem for now until I finish my ATC build, and start preparing for setting that up. I wish the machine would move to home in the z, then move to home in the x axis, then call for the tool change, then resume after that, so I can get the tool in. got any ideas to temporarily work around this easily? you helped me with the proximity sensors in a series circuit, it worked great. thanks for helping me so quickly, your amaizing.

I don't recall what kind of build you have but simply pressing TOOL CHECK on VCP should send the Z up and not move anything else. Try it. You should post this question on the Centroid Users forum and ALWAYS post a Fresh Report so we can see how you configured the machine. I want to see a report to see how you configured which axis to move first when going home. That is the homing and travel wizard page.

You could also try to customize your M6 macro, within it you could tell the machine where to go

@@martyscncgarage5275 ok thanks I will try to figure out how to do the report. I think Ive done that before to get my lisence

@@martyscncgarage5275 yeah I figured I'd have to reconfigure the macro, I've been avoiding learning to do that until I build my turret for the lathe, and my carousel for the mill. both acorn. just trying to finish my lathe. making the bearing block now, then mount the motor and make another coupler, and slap a rear bearing on the other end of the z axis, and I'm done. I just want to get through it so I can start on the ATC'S
@BondmeJesus2 жыл бұрын
my x axis is in the rear, and my motor is going where the gearbox was, it sure looks nice, no motors sticking out the front and the rear of the lathe G0602 nicely tucked and hidden with direct drive, no belts. 1.8kw servo spindle tuned so good, rigid tapping works like a dream at 200rpm lots of low end torque. I appreciate your help. I think I'm just going to drill those long bearing block holes manually just to get it over with, that way I can finish up, but then I will set up the macro when I do my PDB on the mill, it's the Hoss build PDB3 (power draw bar) the turret I am building is really nice also.

Hi Marty! Is tool 10 in cnc12 always a probe?
@martyscncgarage52753 жыл бұрын
You can change that in the tool library and in the parameter settings.

Yes, I have quite a number of them and a few parts for the machines. They are listed on eBay, but feel free to email me directly. My KZbin channel name ATgmailDOTcom

Hello Mr. Marty, if you kindly and provide a video on how to convert the drawing from Autocad 2d to the ACORN board and run it on the CNC, thanks in advance.

There is no DXF import in CNC12 anymore. You have to generate your own code.
