Not sure where you got that, but doesn't even remotely look like mine on the inside.. mine has an LED, three resistors, and an IC smd soldered to a small PCB, with a ball-on-flat contacting point for the first limit (tool touch off) and a second spring loaded ball-on-flat contacting point for the over-travel. it's sealed with two o-rings, and an o-ring where the sleeve mates tot he touch surface. also, the rubber boot on yours is fully compressed already, meaning there wasn't going to be any travel regardless of the silastic that's spread all over it... Also, the one i have the conduit has a a compression nut on the end of the conduit that's used to screw it into the housing, and another on the other end for attaching to another point. No hot glue at all.. Truth be told, looks like your buddy crashed his probe, tried to "fix it" broke it more, hot glued it together, and and then gooped everything in silastic and stuffed it back together. before sending it to you.

@martyscncgarage52754 ай бұрын
Not the proper way to reverse the direction. The encoder and motor rotation need to be synchronized. Otherwise you can have a run away condition. The motor is turning one direction by the encoder reports it's turning the wrong way, so the controller tries to force the servo into position, which it can't do. Until it faults. So, it's not as easy as just swapping motor power leads

@martyscncgarage5275 Hi Marty so I went ahead and bought one of these it was bran new from a guy on OfferUp. I’ve got it all setup and running great with LinuxCNC but my only problem is I don't understand how to get the spinal working through software. I’m able to run M3 S1000 and M4 S1000 and on the display panel of the machine indicates the direction is changing from forward and reverse but the spindle does not turn on. Is there some sort of PWM settings I’m also supposed to be configuring? If so, I don’t understand it and my guess is that I’m supposed to configure PWM on either pin 3 or pin 9 because in the user manual it says those are signal pins of some kind. I did try it once and after turning the spindle on through LinuxCNC the back of the main power panel made a horrible noise like a relay freaking out and immediately pulled the plug. Hope I didn’t damage anything. But can you give me any advice on what I should do? There's no information about configuring the spindle online and Syil won’t respond to my messages.
