"Every MP5 I had locked the bolt open..." Aaah... F&^%ing BS. NO MP5 has never EVER had last round bolt hold open. Not now, not ever. So, you NEVER had an MP5 in your hands before this video. Not sure what you did with your binary triggers and maybe over tightened RD mount, but my TWO MKE AP5 variants run flawlessly. Oh, and I DID serve with MP5, MP5SD, and MP5/10. The last one was a letdown, but you don't need a 10mm with a dome shot anyway, so...

Isn't this made in Turkey (MKE) and only imported by Century?

Yup, Century just imports them into the US from MKE Turkey.

Did it jam before you mounted the optic? It looks like you have a claw style optic mount. If its just a tad too tight it will deform the receiver enough to cause drag on the bolt causing malfunctions. This happened to me with a B&T mount on a H&K 33. Also, A friend has a full size MP5 from PTR that runs like a champ Maybe give them a look if this one doesn't work out . Like to see an update. Good luck.
