It's like this, it's totally illegal for any group, association, business owners, or whomever, to all come together and agree on a set rate schedule. Example... it would be illegal federal illegal for our industry group of carriers to come together and come up with a structured rate schedule as for setting a base minimum rate across the board for all carriers, to be paid per mile, for carriers to bill that fixed minimum rate at least per miles. It's big time illegal and it's called "Price Fixing.".... guys do NOT go there. ITS FREE ENTERPRISE MEANING AS A BUSINESS OWNER, you are allowed offer to do a service at what rate you feel you and your services are worth. And can give a customer a bid offer/qoute rate offer, freely to your liking, whatever that number might be. And as well the potential client can freely accept or decline your rate proposal/offer/bid legally. It's called free enterprise when doing business. Look, I get it.. for me, it seems like brokers, and/or forwarding companies (the middle man), is price fixing rates when they tell us that their rate is set at that rate and that's all we are paying period and it totally pisses ya off cause it's like they set our rates for freight shipping. And constantly, well, it's more times than not, a rate that is mostly favorable and finaically rewarding for the broker/ the forwarder or shipper. It's frustrating but the only way these rates legally can start to adjust is favor for the truck and truckers is for everyone to agree mentally to stand firm on not running low paying rate offers. What's a poor rate, well that is to be determined ( wink wink ) by the indivual owner operator or lease driver period. But we all know, or should have some idea as foe what is a good decent far rate for the majority. Look, if you are at the end of the day only bringing home enough to cover your expenses, cost to do to move customers, broker', or shipper's product then you would be better off going to work for someone and being a employee on their payroll and let then handle their company's business cost of expenses. If you are bringing home what you would, if you were working as an employee at a job for someone else. Then hang it up folks or step back and make serious adjustments for yourself and your business and your drivers. You must demand and stay firm on your rates you give out. Running low rates only leads to your clients not taking you as a serious business man or woman that is professional. When clients see companies that a firm and that don't waver it mentally moves your clients to want and desire to have you and your company as one partnering with them. It how you grow your business and how you grow personally.

8:06 NOPE! I don't like this. That's basically targeting, bias, and favoritism. Show the freight to everyone at the same time. So basically, they'll be trying to capture live data, real-time tracking from our devices to push loads to truckers based on specific parameters. This means that if your location is out of their target area, your "search" potentially won't show you certain loads and vice versa. So even though you're trying to trip plan and book ahead of time, the app is gonna screw you by showing certain truckers' loads instead of just posting it to everyone. That's not transparent.

Once I called the broker and he sent them an email, I was told to resubmit the load, and they'll send the money back after they receive payment from the broker. I hated every interaction I had and am so glad I switched as soon as I could. Since then, I've had zero issues and can actually talk to a real person on a team that my account is assigned to. I book my loads, run them, fix the truck, and deal with everything else like many drivers and owner operators. I didn't need another headache, but that's what they are.

I have one question when it comes down to downloading the app. Why can't a developer make an app that does not have to require our personal information.
@kitchenspiderКүн бұрын
Persistance of data requires security/authentication. Persistance of data is necessitated by the limitations of servers and to reduce network traffic. Storing data client side is rarely a viable solution and often defies the conventions of many standards and paradigms. Research "client/server model" for more technical info, but it's an expansive topic

I'm a primarily a power only carrier, doing po I tend to pull slightly more loads from t/s than Dat but freight was slow in the last month so I hooked up to a van and was shocked. Brokers set rates waaayyy lower on t/s for van than Dat. Just crazy.

Truckstop should start a program like carrier 411 but for drivers to run the people responsible for the problems like brokers and shippers receivers

The sad reality is people don’t know what to do all we do is complain about the problems instead of organizing around solutions that would be proactive to counter a lot of this corruption

One feature I like about Truckstop is I can search for loads by authority. So I just put my 190 days in there and it only shows brokers who accept my age of authority. I do like that it’s a live load board. I hate the price though.

Hey brother let me tell you something the biggest problem in the industry of transportation is knowledge ok a lot of the owners operate they don’t know how to calculate the CPM and that’s the reason the Broker takes a vantage and Dispatcher too and this Load board
@GaryStipes3 сағат бұрын
All theses load boards are intended to be backhaul to get u back to your customer that pays you good money! If you are running on load boards for your freight you’re gonna be broke

Force brokers to fill out all information like dimensions weight tarp required price in order to post. It would cut down on a lot of wasted time and missing other loads calling on ones you can’t take.
