Down with energy prices? Half the oil running through US refineries comes from Canada which Trump wants to tariff by 25%. In the electrical market, 90% of the imported electricity comes from Canada so tariff that at 25% too. How are energy prices going to go down with 25% tariffs?

And only 21% of the oil refined is from Canada. All of which can be supplied by more friendly nations. It is, after all, a world market. Maybe Canada could triple their oil refineries to use up their oil production. $20 billion and five years ought to cover it.

American pencil demand goes up because it's cheaper. Imagine a pickpocket distracting you by handing you $5 with one hand while reaching into your back pocket and taking $25 with the other. His tariff happy ways will negate what these guys are talking about. When the tariffs get tacked on to the price of things and the prices rise people will have to tighten their belts and won’t spend like they did before the tariffs were imposed. The Bozo promised to lower grocery prices but tariffs will really hurt farmers while, simultaneously, the LA fires and Trump’s deportations will create a farm worker shortage this coming harvest season i.e. higher food prices. All of the different tariff scenarios are not going to be conducive to starting up a small business. But Fox will keep telling you how great things are so, no problem.
