I just love your gnome, he's so adorable. How I wish I could afford a kiln at home!

You can start putting money aside per pay period if you work, and get one :)

I am loving your tutorial, my concern is your slip. Not sure if ceramic slip is different then ADC or polymer slip. But as it looks your just dipping your fingers into water and not actual slip. Slip is more a melted ice cream consistency made from either thinly dried out clay then crushed into tiny little pieces , or thinly rolled out clay pinched out pieces into a little water and mixed every like 15 minutes till you get the consistency you like.

She literally says her slip is "clay plus water" at the beginning, and that she's using the water on top to keep her hands wet so the clay doesn't crack.

Do you live by the beach ? It sounds like waves in the back ground.

Very cute! Does it matter if some air is trapped in the hat after you attach it to the face?

Do they have to be fired in a kiln? Cuz I was thinking of teaching some of my mental health clients how to make a chia pet, by making one out of terracotta clay.

If firing is an issue, how about air dry clay and then painted?
