It's because since a lot of American foods have so much sugar, chemicals, and salt, Americans have grown prone and are numb to sugars and stuff and also to the americans that aren't used to other countries foods will think that it's really bland because they're not used to such little sugar or salt or whatever.

+Bullitain You have to realize that this is really just kids cereal, and even then many parents don't buy their kids this because of the sugar. I mean most adults don't eat this on a regular basis (except honey bunches of oats which aren't as sugary).

Lucky Charms are vile. I spent a whole day searching Ireland for those feckers, just cause we really wanted to try them. After literal hours of searching we drove home all excited and happy and then the actually eating happened. They were so sugary my teeth hurt. We spent an hour lying around on the floor complaining about the sick feeling. It was a sad day

They're one of my personal favourites but so hard to find in Ireland ironically

Yeah most of our US markets have a few "single product type" aisles: cereals, chips/pretzels/etc., soft drinks and breads. In some states an aisle of wine and/or beer. We love our carbs.
