You can really see the effects of Fauna playing this game in multiple different sessions. On one hand sometimes she returns with a solution that came to her in a dream, but on the other hand she forgets information that she discovered 16 episodes ago Thanks goodness theres our beloved ship log to help her out Also I gotta give it to Past Fauna, she figured out the ATP warp solution pretty quick and even had the patience to retry after failing. Is this what they call "character development?!"

I guess its not a spoiler anymore for people that have watched up to this far in the lets play but Ash Twins core and the music that plays when you have the warp core is definitely some of the best discoveries you make in this game Fauna is so close to the eye now its crazy!

I understand the decision to give the player a save they can reload from, but I kinda feel like your punishment for getting a true death is that your ship logs **from that loop** shouldn't be saved.

@kurowo A deleted save in this game is fairly minor though. The only real progress that's saved is grabbing the launch codes right at the start and the meditation button. Everything else is just knowledge.

Fauna really figured everything out in one episode or, well, most things. Got a handful of plot threads left (and I'm still salty about not doing the High Energy Lab experiment), but that's some fantastic lore found in one sitting

So the death you've been spoilering this whole time is one occasion where she was far enough away from the supernova that the energy from the supernova went into the Ash Twin Project, and it triggered *before* she died. Thus, the Ash Twin Project sent her memories back in time at that point, and since the player's perspective *is the memories*, we lost "contact" with the Fauna from that loop at that point in time. Presumably, that Fauna still died from the supernova mere moments later, but it was after the activation of the ATP, so we couldn't see it.

It's a bit disappointing that she got a true death before figuring everything out and going on a vessel run. I feel like knowing you will just be able to reload if you fail lessens the impact of you going on your first run, understanding exactly what you are doing and not knowing what would happen if you fail.
