I like how the game has some trademark 90s horror camp but also the too real shout outs to shoddy maintenance and inspection-dodging Turns out that Fauna's biggest weakness is bear traps ! I too put in a vote for Pikmin (or Billy Hatcher )

I love this game, it's a nice callback to the games I used to play back in the day like OG Resident Evil, Clock Tower, Dino Crisis and Silent Hill. Tank Controls are the hill I'll die on though, you just had to be there to understand it lol.

I've noticed a trend where you (Fauna) get exactly 0% more confident upon receiving a gun in a horror game. Are you anticipating the fact that that must mean the monsters are extra scary? Or do you merely doubt your gun skills.... much to think about

Just like how outlast empower the player by making you know that you can always outrun the enemy without weapons, guns in horror game reminds you that you may need to face them with it and all the pressure that follows like ammo management, accuracy, etc

But if I had to make a guess: I think guns embody Fauna's least favorite things, quick reflex moments & finite resources (aka ammo)

I'm really enjoying this game - the retro graphics are great and the mystery is intriguing but not too convoluted Also love the game's atmosphere and how monsters get progressively creepier and more prevalent (although the environmental traps still seem to be your biggest enemy )

I've heard of this game but this was my first time actually seeing gameplay and I can see why it got Overwhelmingly Positive reviews! You can tell it was inspired a lot by Silent Hill and Resident Evil and the graphics do remind me of the PS1 funnily enough. Fauna biggest enemy today weren't the monsters, was the traps, lost the count after the 6th or 7th Got flashbacks of a lot of PS1 games, between the graphics and the tank controls, no idea how we could play with those back then Thanks for the fun stream, even forgot it was a horror game

Good game. Fauna is figuring it out well but should look out for spoilers. She'll like the ending. Fauna try revisiting your car, you do get ammo from it. Pikmin 1 for sure unless you're skipping straight to 4.

This reminds me of how much I enjoyed the games on the PS2 back then. You find yourself drawn in, making you eager to finish, but still taking the time to find every lore you can find. Thank you for the creepy but fun Crow Country stream, Fauna! The game looks very like the PS1 graphics and it's good too! Talking about remakes, some are good but depends on the game Devs' love for the original if they would either keep some of the same stuff from the original or overhaul the whole game for the sake of the next gen feels like Capcom did with RE 2 and 3 for instance. And speaking of remakes, I hope you'll play The Thing Remake when it comes out!

Glad to see you play this, it was a fun stream. Definitely feeling the old RE vibes although there's less in the way of bosses and ammo conservation seeing as your car has more ammo for you. Also yeah, I'd be a bit wary of anything from Konami after what they did with the Metal Gear series after they got rid of Hideo Kojima though I will say that the subject material of the Silent Hill games can be a bit er... yabai? I mean Witcher 3 touches on some of those things but not in quite the same way. Pyramid Head gets up to some things.

Thanks for an oddly nostalgic stream, Fauna! I would've never batted an eye at this game if not for you, but now I might juet have to pick it up. The whole vibe kinda reminds me of Defunctland. Like all kinds of forlorn and forgotten Disneyland attractions. It definitely has some clear Disney references, like Captain Nemo.

The other two have also been overhauled several times. They're not the same rides Disney started out with. But they're all showcases of Disney's skill with animatronics and visual trickery. Kinda like the forced perspective on Cinderella's Castle.
