As a KZbinr who answers all of his subscribers comments I often find there are recurring questions or the same questions asked in different videos. In an attempt to answer these I'll make a video which I can then refer commenters to.

Hi Ceri! I'm delighted to have finally found you! I started watching junk journal videos around 18 months ago, largely in response to the lock downs and the need to find entertainment that WASN'T another mindless television program or movie. I slowly started making simple journals a little over a year ago, and now enjoy following Angela Kerr, Tracie Fox, Andrea Allen, Carol Parker, and Gi Kerr, to name a few super talented people, and making journals along with them. I recently watched a month-long collaboration in which one of the crafters mentioned Gayle A. Always eager to learn from another expert, I started watching her about 6 weeks ago - isn't she a treasure? A couple times she mentioned her dear friend Ceri, but didn't spell the name. So off I went in search of Kerry, Cary, Kari, etc., etc. and eventually gave up, thinking that maybe you were part of an exclusive club. Imagine my surprise when a couple days ago, after Gayle 's video ended, one of your videos began to play! I was delighted to finally discover Ceri the Crafter, and have been binge watching your channel ever since! You are such a delight! I was deeply moved by your July 4th video and was deeply moved by it, and heartsick and sad about the whole experience. Gun rights vs. gun control is such a powder keg issue in the US ( no pun intended) and although I sort of understand both sides of the issue, what I know for sure is that along with the right to own a gun should go the responsibility to use it wisely. Also I agree with you that it is impossible to understand why anyone in a "civilized" society needs to own a military grade weapon. This is madness, but I'm just one small voice. All I can add is that I'm terribly sad & sorry that America showed you its uglier side, and ruined your vacation. Thanks for your lovely tutorials! For me I'm confused about the matt medium, I'm relatively new to this, it appears to be used like a glue and a sealer, and if is should be put over everything at the end to seal it. I've only just recently started to make journals and love it and all the creativity that goes with it, now I really want to try gelli printing, there are just so many fun possibilities.

Thank you, Matt medium is used exactly as you mentioned although there are many brands and types, I normally use it for my mixed media pieces and collage, I’m not sure I use it for my journalling other than using it for covers………..but in saying that I use it when I feel its required.

Just be aware not every print will be fabulous and then sometimes that magic just happens, enjoy the process, after all its just paper and paint but the time out is the most valuable thing about the process.

Great tips! I love the suggestions For uses but a bonus for me is when you talk about papers you’re using for a specific thing. I’m fairly new to gelli 19:52 printing and collage and having a hard time distinguishing when I should use a certain paper and what they are best for so thank you. Right now I’m going to look to see if you have a video on your travel notebook. I was thinking of making sections to send to my granddaughter who lives in Texas and then at some point be able to combine those into a book, so your travel notebook seems like a place to clarify that idea for me. Great topic for a video Ceri, and I had to subscribe after being so inspired by your gorgeous prints! I am like a lot of people who created a ton of prints, and then stopped gelli printing because I didn’t know what to do with them all. I really miss gelli printing, especially after seeing your prints. I’m using many of my early prints (that were not very exciting) in my current project: bookmarks to donate to our local library. I use food packaging as a base, and then glue on strips of varying widths of gelli prints in a diagonal pattern. Even the ugly ones can be used in this way. I’m thrilled to be using them up, as well as reusing the cardboard. I hope that they bring some joy to some folks in our community. Perhaps one day my prints may be beautiful enough to inspire the library to sell them to purchase more books! Our family has really enjoyed the library over the years, and I wanted to do something to thank them. I’m having so much fun that I may have to share with the public school libraries too! Thanks for the inspiration Ceri.

Sandy I’ve done fabric printing a couple of times but I’m unsure I’m the one to make that video….Ill bear it in mind though.
