I'm not even sure Kurtzman himself is intentionally trying to ruin _Trek_ , but through his lack of understanding of the franchise, that is precisely what he is doing. And it's happening to many other franchises too. Apparently the Netflix _Winx_ adaptation is the same, and up next on the chopping block is _My Little Pony_ , which, after a 9-year success story, is likely to see the biggest trashfire since the forbidden G3.5. I have always had an odd theory about the Tholians. My best guess as to why they are always getting involved in temporal and multiversal things is because... they know about them and their outcomes already. It is possible they may have some scans from Kal's database from when they first encountered it and know how things are "supposed" to turn out and when something does seem to fit right away they get nervous. A nervous Tholian Assembly is an active one and puts them right in the center of everything, which is where they were always meant to be. They are trying to be Time Cops from within the timeline, and that.... causes Janeway sized issues.
@andrewtaylor9403 жыл бұрын
We actually know why the Tholian's are such Dicks. It's much the same reason as to why the Iconian's where. Way back in the TOS era character starter missions. So back around episode 4 or 5 of this series. The Na'kuhl show up, traveling backwards in time, to destroy the Tholian's for putting out their sun. Creating a Paradox whereby both the Tholians and Na'kuhl caused the destruction to their homes by waging a war across time and space.

I was once “booted“ during a TFO and managed to log-in again quickly and was in the same TFO with the same team. I’ve also been booted from a mission like this (one later in this arc, actually) and I had to start over all the way from the beginning, even earlier than where the checkpoint should have been. 31. Century and still no way against Tholian Webs?? What are they made of ultra amazingium? Honestly i realy like this series. Since i play myself even more. On Xbox it oftens is the A PRESS Predator Simulator (Apex A Press... nevernind) Press A to scan, press A to repair, press A to talk, press A to beam, press A to jump... Hold A to select between 5 "press A to" actions. And i already said something about the fighting

I strongly suspect the Tholians have stolen future tech integrated into their vessels, which is why they're so difficult to fight.

Finally we get some Captain Kirk style first contact. I wonder if Hale met his great great great grand son.

The caption Kirk myth was started by eddy murphy during ether an SNL skit or a in living color skit. It never happened, in canon he was only with two different women. One of them was the mother of his son and the other was just a fling. He was with David's mother the longest. The real canon man who're* was Riker. *Yes I spelled it wrong, had too as youtube kept deleting my message.

@@valor1omega Yes, Kirk did not explicitly bang as many women in space as people joke about but that was because characters in 1960s TV were less sexual than today. A lot of Kirk's promiscuity is inferred or implied.
@valor1omega3 жыл бұрын
@@youtubeviewer4472 I have watched all of TOS and no where did they ever suggest that. William Shatner once said a long time ago that Kirk never slept with more than two women. So unless it is said on screen it didn't happen. People want to believe what they want but canon is canon.

@@valor1omega I am also aware that no one ever said "Beam me up Scotty" but nevertheless that phrase is part of the cultural landscape and it's fun to joke about. Napoleon was actually above average height for his nation and era, but we still use the term "Napoleon Complex" to refer to short people who overcompensate with attitude. Just because something is not factual does not mean it cannot be true.

@@youtubeviewer4472 "Just Because it's not factual doesn't mean it can't be true" Um yeah it does mean it isn't true and lies/myths should be disproven.
