I reserved mine in Jan 2021. I was 69 years old. Do the math. If I don't get mine before I die of old age, I hope they at least put the Aptera logo in my tombstone. And the epitaph, "He Died Waiting". And I want to be buried in my Aptera T-shirt.

Wow, 820 kg of lightness and 0.13 Cd, while most everyone is complaining about how heavy the electric vehicles are. This shows the way. Hope Aptera makes it.

Sry we didn't actually meet Steve-u a busy man! But I got to see you in the flesh, just like Steve F and Chris A, Chris M, and so many more I only knew thru the web. THAT and seeing the vehicle, even SITTING in it, both driver and passenger sides, made my day already.

Steve and Thomas, great input, agree 100% and thanks for not sugar coating the information on the binc and chassis. Thank you, and thanks AOC Steve for the coverage and discussion. Interesting that their exhibit is right next to Continental, the former parent company of Vitesco. Curious to hear about any drivetrain exhibition from Continental or Vitesco if you happen to find anything interesting. Cheers from Wisconsin!

I’m 6’-5” and sat in it this morning at CES. Headroom is fine for me with the seat back tilted a bit back. The seat rails under the seat on PI-4 are not the longer ones intended for production yet, so the legroom is only just adequate for me currently. However, I’ve sat in Gamma and it had a huge amount of legroom. So much that I had to slide the seat forward a little to get the distance to the pedals to my liking. That was a unique experience for me - no vehicle I’ve ever been in beforehand had too much legroom!

I am priced out of the Aptera now. My build is $45K now.
@keeperMLT15 күн бұрын
Ouch. That is a lot for a "second vehicle" in most households. I think that will be the death knell of the company. At $20k, buying one is a no brainer for most commuters. At $30k, they would still have a good market base. At $40k, it won't sell enough to make the company viable.

@bgeery They removed the AWD from the launch model so the vehicle will be slower
@danam022816 күн бұрын
For the launch edition? Given that it will have a bunch of extras on it, is just fwd and is meant to be super efficient vs. a hot rod, I think this is perfectly acceptable, but definitely off the mark from what everyone has been saying.
@GBRHatRoom15 күн бұрын
@@danam0228I priced out my model with AWD and off road extra and it was $45K. Just a few months ago the price was $34K. So they added 10K on to the price of the vehicle. I can buy a Tesla for this price.
@chrisrudzinski624115 күн бұрын
@danam0228 Curious what you mean by "bunch of extras" only difference between them and the other production models will be serialized imprints and plaques. Vehicle auction history has shown that only one of those consistently increase value and that would be serial #1.

About funding, maybe they say that only Tesla is making a profit. Rivian has a great product, they've been in business nearly as long as Telsa - but no profit. GM, Ford, VW, BMW, Porche, Mercedes - no one can make a profit but BYD and Tesla.

I see our people but where are the new ones? Maybe it’s early and they e not gotten into full swing attendance yet. I’ve heard of a few 3D printed parts and the redesign of the front wheel pants from Chris. It’s still missing the hood mechanism. First run fit and finish will always be an issue. Just ask Elon.

I will say Aptera has many times over the profits to any type of production sales for the first year and beyond if investors want some insurance,let poor people like me Aptera match any amount paid up to 10,000 dollars to your allready personal Aptera account, allready subscribed on, of course once things are calculated agin while software code for the payment and records and recipes are recored. One thing I will say is if people some to a little savings are buying Aptera anyways and living on a small budget working hard, well those people would love to save even more on a Aptera as much as anyone with some huge bills allready choosing a vehicle that will save money for bills in many ways. People will spend money to save money.😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
