I think some people, especially newer fans forget that Ebdon was a prominent player in his day, 9 ranking titles and a world championship I believe, he definitely wasn't a slouch and achieved more than most snooker players have
@adrianwright8685 Жыл бұрын
Yes, 9 ranking titles puts Ebdon 11th equal with Parrot on the all time list - truly a top class player. The slow deliberate approach he sometimes adopted later in his career was never his main style and it's unfortunate that's what some now remember him for.

A slouch 🤣🤣😆 fucking love that word

I like hearing stories about players who stick to the same cue their whole career. Just like Ken Doherty who managed to win the world championship with his low budget crooked cue. Amazing.

I had a ten pound argus snooker cue which I used for years won trophies for pool with my team. Snapped it in anger and I've never played as well with my John parris cue I replaced it with

Same for Stephen Hendry, who bought his cue at a pub for like 30-40 pounds if I'm not mistaken.

At this level of snooker it's not a case of who's the best player, It's who's the best PRESSURE player, I think Ronnie learned a lot from this loss, he learned to "rein-in" his flamboyant play for the better.
@sugs11913 жыл бұрын
Ebdon is a better pressure player than Ronnie imo.

155 is max if player gets free ball before the first red pot.
@just-dl10 ай бұрын
@@kajisherpa6749I know that’s mathematically possible. Does it happen? I’m new to snooker, so don’t have a lot of history to draw from.

I thought 147 was as many points as possible. I believe there may have been opponent fouls
@seanscanlon90673 жыл бұрын
147 is the highest break, although technically it's 155 with a free ball as a red, a black and then a 147 but as you say, fouls can add points too.
@aliayaan51883 жыл бұрын
Hw scored 152? How?
@tedschreiber57173 жыл бұрын
ebdon must have fouled before the video started giving ronnie penalty points since ronnie has 13 points with only one red off the table
@joseywales37893 жыл бұрын
Ali Ayaan The highest break possible is 155. This can occur when an opponent fouls but leaves the player snookered on all 15 reds. (The player cannot see the both outside edges of any red ball) The player can nominate one of the other colours as a red, known as a "free ball", which carries the same value as a red for just that shot. Therefore a break of 155 is possible! Jamie Cope achieved this in 2005!
