This was so much fun to watch I really liked Proko’s study with the lost and found edges on the face , I’m really glad you guys did a collab and I hope you do more in the near future!

I liked seeing the two different approaches, and their sort of ordered systems. I can literally see the ateliers they went to in their differing approaches. Some training I received, when I was a child and teen, made me rely on blind contour and what I saw in my head while my eyes were shut, not just from observation; thus, I know for a fact it's possible to get a high degree of accuracy doing this. Also, I wanted to say, it's not cheating to hold the page as some have said. Anything you can do to make sure you are in a correct position to go back to, is good. Having a building out point is probably the smartest, along with a timed stroke. There are of course more tricks, but eventually after a lot of practice, you will have a solid image in your mind and, again, I know for a fact you can get extremely accurate results.

I guess this visit to the museum was before the Pandemic, 3 years ago. Whao I haven't been able to go to the Phoenix museum since a little before the Pandemic. I miss it so much.... Watching you guys inspire me to go back to painting. I haven't painted for the past 4 weeks now. I was sick with bronchitis. Oy, I thought I had COVID, but a team of health workers came and tested me, it came negative, but Bronchitis was present. I have felt totally discouraged. You invited me in again. Your enthusiasm is catching, at least for me.

Nice that you two can get together for sketching, what a great thing. Not about competition, but developing bonds between friends and furthering your own artistic journey. I'm beginning to see a pattern in social media artists who have "seem" to fallen into the "he who gets the most LIKES wins". We are students, not disciples.

Such an awesome video! You just don’t get any better teaching lessons than this! It was so nice that both of them retained such an atmosphere of camaraderie, no competition what so ever! Just pure artistic talent displayed by both of these wonderful artists! The thought of sitting in front of an original Sargent painting is so awesome! I need to go to New York or wherever they might be in a museum! Please do another one of these soon! Loved the “blindfolded “ drawing. What a hoot!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

4:20 (lul) a really good scenario of the 80/20 rule! like 80% of the drawing ( the background ) holds 20% of the information. or vise versa, 20% of the painting ( the subject ) holds 80% of the information. so interesting how composition relates so much to math and the patterns are everywhere!
