I want to say that your videos are HUGELY HELPFUL to me. I'm coming back to flying from a long time off. I'm renewing my instructor cert next month in addition to the currency challenges. It is, of course, the radio that shows the rust more than anything. The narration you do is such an incredible help, the airport diagram, and even your comment about putting lights on when crossing the runway are great. Showing the SID / STAR and use of checklists is all fantastic. Thanks very much for doing this!

Just started watching your videos and I really enjoy them especially the ones into and out of KSTP since Im right over at KMSP working the ramp for Southwest. I went to school to be a pilot but am unable to find a job with my low flight hours that isnt flight instructing. Have you considered letting anyone ride along who is pursuing a career as a pilot? I would love to be a pilot on the corporate side instead of the airlines.

Great video ! I'm a newcomer to your channel and I really like how you explain things and show your waypoints, different views, etc. Question: what is a yaw dampener ? Is this unique to light jets ?
@CitationMustangPilot7 жыл бұрын
Alan Peterson Glad you discovered my channel. The yaw damper counteracts yaw oscillation that can occur and be uncomfortable for passengers in back. Yaw dampers are found on most turbine aircraft I believe. Enjoy.

Love watching your videos, what is the general purpose of these flights? Are you hauling people on these flights or what? Great job on these!!

smcgil05 The purpose of these flights vary. Both business and pleasure. Some with passengers, some empty.
@jameswikstrom41747 жыл бұрын
Just a point of interest. Do you need special certification to fly single pilot or do you automatically get that when you get your Certification on the Mustang? I know it is rated as a single pilot jet by the FAA. Great job as usual with your commentary and professionalism exhibited while flying! I am familiar with the Premier 1 but I like the Mustang just as well!
@CitationMustangPilot7 жыл бұрын
James Wikstrom Thanks for the post. For the check ride and rating, you can designate single pilot or as a crew. My rating is C510S where the S stands for single pilot.

Greetings, I really enjoy the videos. One question. Are you using standard J or Q airways for the enroute portion of your trips? I have lived next to KTRI all my life and monitor their tower. These videos are almost like being there. Regards. BC
@CitationMustangPilot7 жыл бұрын
B Cross thanks for the post. I’ve visited KTRI many times for the Bristol night race in Aug. Always a fun weekend! In the Midwest it seems we get “direct” more often because it’s less crowded I think. In busy sectors such as FLA or the NE states we get J routes most of the time.

Do you do audible checklists when the camera is not running? I have always done verbal checklists and feel like it helps. I get nervous flying with quiet pilots.
@CitationMustangPilot7 жыл бұрын
JetNmyFuture When I'm alone I run the checklist silently. When passengers or crew are up front, I'm verbalizing the checklist.

There's also a difference between IAS, which is what the 250 knot speed restriction is based on, and TAS, which is shown in mph in the video.
