Citation Mustang Pilot can you try not to cut away parts of the flight next time so the whole thing is truly real time, and the video's length tells us how long the flight actually took?

I could see how busy you were on the approach watching that traffic in front of you all the time...makes single pilot IFR flying very challenging...this is where a co-pilot could have helped a lot. Having said that, very nice and professional job on the flight.

Todd excellent video.. I hope to recreate it in MFS2020 with the Cockspur Mustang.. I stayed in Scotsdale a few years ago at the Thunderbirds Hotel.. I met a wondeful guy who saw me looking at the the exec jets and began talking to me..He had started his own company cleaning exec jets and offered to show me them.. Sadly my wife and I were leaving to go back to Scotland but I was so impressed again at American friendly ness to us in UK/Scotland.

@chrissweetguy69427 жыл бұрын
Novice here question, Notice you run single pilot, do you have to add weight to the front nose compartment for CG?
@CitationMustangPilot7 жыл бұрын
Chris Sweetguy The Answer to CG depends on how many are riding along. If more than one in back I'll ask one of them to sit in a rear facing seat closer to the CG....Or better yet ride up front with me. I don't like adding ballast because it displaces fuel. Thanks for the good question.

If you are not proficient with the Garmin FMS you are in big trouble when the tower gives you departure changes. You handled the situation very professionally. I enjoyed listening to ATC and your commentary. Camera work was excellent! Is the Citation Mustang comparable to the Premier 1 & Phenom for single pilot operation?

Robert Harris I bought some sweet Ray Ban Aviators. The problem is they're polarized so when I put them on the screens go dark! Back to the drawing board.
@Adam-si7bw7 жыл бұрын
Awesome video! btw Ray-Ban has non Polarized lenses versions. Though it may set you back another $150 :-(
@CitationMustangPilot7 жыл бұрын
Robert Harris. Thanks. that's good to know. I'll be picking up a pair.
@bobjhg38876 жыл бұрын
Hi, maybe late on this topic: I fly a DA40/ G1000 in Holland, to solve the issue on sunglasses vs dark screens my opticien produced a pair of sunglasses with a normal clear lower part, infact a bi-focal. It's such a success that i use it anywhere flying, driving and whatever. Non-polarized ofcourse makes reading instruments and charts as clear as can be, with eye-ball up full sun protection.
@nevillec52526 жыл бұрын
You could also see if you can get tinted non-polarized lenses. That's what I use, because I need to wear prescription glasses. Another option is photo-chromatic non-polarized lenses - these will be clear, almost untinted indoors, but darken when in bright sunlight. By the way, I love Holland - but Dutch is hard!

I'm curious: Business allows you the luxury of flying your own jet? I didn't see mention of pax. Very cool! What supers the heading & speed onto your camera (GoPro?). It appears to be GPS info, since the speed was in MPH not knots. Interesting that you prefer flying w/o sunglasses. My retina would boil. Looks like being a lefty is convenient in the left seat. Write w/the left and the controls are handy to the right.

Real enjoyable to watch-can someone please confirm for a novice that steering during taxi in smaller jets 🛩 is accomplished using differential braking, and then on runway in takeoff by rudder, after sufficient aerodynamic effectiveness is established?
