Cevin, I'm a 40yr old in recovery and have been listening to SP since I was 15. Skinny puppy showed me anything is possible with music and to this day messing with my synths helps me stay clean... and just like Salvador Dali showed me I can draw anything as long as I stay true to myself.... you showed me I can make noise... um music as along as I stay true to myself... I love how his selections are from the late 70s/early 80s. Kenny would have been in his teens/early 20s when they came out. I think he's giving us insight to his formative influences and music that has stood the test of time in his life. No Residents? No Killing Joke? Too obvious maybe? Was diagnosed Hep C in France yr before we all briefly met. Contracted it from my surgery blood transfusion in west London 1970s. Was pretty fkd up amphet psychosis and gluten affected my behaviour the night I met you lot. Was advised not to talk about my disease cos of the contamination scandal. Didnt know to stay away from gluten. Anyway, wish I'd been nicer to you guys as you asked what I was into and I dont know but I thought you were taking the piss. I reacted caustically when you were possibly just being friendly. Big apologies as I've always loved your stuff. Peace love lite and shite Gzy

Sun Ra is far from what I anticipated. And to be honest, Sun Ra is not as easy to get as he makes it sound. The tenor sax player in that group was an amazing artist; So much so that John Coltrane approached him for private lessons. And he didn't get Sun Ra for ages, until one day he finally heard it.
