@@tracer0017 Well, you know what they say about when you assume... Let's look at what is known - All of the Firefly cast loves Nathan and most of them appeared on Castle. Huertas and Dever from Castle appeared on The Rookie. Toks Olagundoye did 22 Castle episodes and looks like she'll be recurring on The Rookie now. I haven't heard of any of the Castle cast making appearances with Stana. Do you just assume Nathan is the problem because he's the male? Because it seems like everyone other than Stana loves working with him.

I like Alan's idea. I'd do it differently though. Instead of that comical situation I'd have him really self conscience about it all. So only Zoe (and maybe Mal) knew about his brown-coat past (and the audience only got snippets of conversations so we don't know all of it either). Then something happens and it's revealed (I'll leave that up to better writers than me) THEN Jayne assumes he can bench 80 units. Wash, still self conscience, attempts it and the rest goes as Alan said.
