Nice ride guys, get the 15 tooth and it it feels way nicer on and off road, im loving mine so much the dr650 will be getting sold as well as the tiger 800. The smoothness of the motor is just awesome, and i dont feel hardly near as fatigued after a long day like i would on the dr. Keep up the great vids. Cheers Bazz

Great ride and a top review. Thankyou for your thoughts on the MT450. Certainly looks the part and like you said time will tell on how well she ages. I reckon lots of these bikes will be everywhere soon as they are priced very well and great bang for buck. Shes a bit thirsty on the juice at 4.5L per 100 but that may change over time once the motor is properly broken in maybe? Cheers.

It could definitely get better economy if I lost a few pounds and wasn't chasing the 80hp Aprilia like a lunatic 😂

Hi. Good review!. I have a KLR 2014 with the same power and weight than the 450MT. However since the engine of the KLR is 650cc, the KLR goes at less RPM than the 450MT @ the same speed. I wonder if it would be a real upgrade going from the KLR to the 450MT. Cheers.

Is it happy to ride along at 100kph on the roads? Can you compare the road comfort with the aprilia?
@derekandleonie563611 күн бұрын
It cruises well at 100 Obviously the Aprilia does it easier with the extra power but the CF is more than capable
@tigerrider671110 күн бұрын
@@derekandleonie5636 thank you, seriously considering this bike when it hits our shores , going to try the “less is more” approach. Read a few horror stories about cam wear on the aprilia that is giving me cold feet on that bike.
@porkshank138 күн бұрын
It might seem like comparing apples to oranges but I would be interested in hearing some direct comparison between the CFMOTO and the Aprilia. Specifically the weight and power difference.
@derekandleonie56368 күн бұрын
They're similar riding position etc The Aprilia weighs 29kg more according to our scale As for power ... 44hp compared to 80 is fairly noticeable Obviously the CF is more manageable in the tight stuff and the Aprilia runs away on the open roads
@porkshank138 күн бұрын
@@derekandleonie5636 Thanks for such a speedy response! Initially I was thinking why wouldn't I deal with the extra few pounds for the big increase and power (again ignoring price, which is a huge deal of course) but that is more of a weight difference than I was expecting. It definitely makes the CFMOTO more tempting.

Even if Yamaha did a T450 it would be pretty basic and featureless as not to compete with the T7 as the CRF is kept basic to not compete with the CX. Same with the Transalp it won’t get the features of the Africa twin. With the MT you get everything!
@derekandleonie563612 күн бұрын
Yes that's true... What I meant by comparison with a tenere 450 was about build quality being as good as the Japanese

@@derekandleonie5636 yeah they really do look well put together and easy to service usually bikes at that price require lots of mods my DR and CRF certainly did. I like the fact there are factory crash bars available the bike has been designed to have crash bars fitted often crash bars look a lot stronger than what they are mounted to! I remember my dad teaching me all about “Jap Crap” in the 70’s and it’s interesting to see it happening again if I harms spent so much on my CRF I would get an MT in a heartbeat.

I wouldn’t buy a Chinese bike , I would rather get the 450 Himalayan, only reason I say that is not the fact that the Chinese are building better quality bikes now ( and CF MOTO are probably one of the best due to the KTM partnership ) But mind is more political . I have a 300 Rally and a V85tt Moto Guzzi . I live in the Atherton tablelands for the winter 🥶, and Albury/ Wodonga rest of the year - Vic high Country riding gold .
