Just did the first 1000 km here in Poland. Just few gravel roads, rest on pavements. This is a great bike but...... It has short gearing, 125 indicated (120 gps) you are at 7000 rpm with 8500 red line. I have already installed 15T front sprocket, that drops the rpm about 500. The fueling off idle is not great (thx euro whatever it is). Throttle cable adjustment helps, but a good tune is the real solution. At 178cm and 75 kgs, bike fits me like a glove. The front suspension is firm, all the way out on preload and still playing with the dampening. Rear I added just a few turns on the preload. I do like the suspension, it's does a very nice job. The exhaust is actually on the loud side, ok I guess I am old. Skid plate is paper thin. I changed oil at 300 km. When removing the skid plate, the lower frame rails(they really are like lower skid plate support tubes, not very substantial) spread by a few cm. I had to use a tie down strap to bring them in prior to reinstalling the skid plate. I got unlucky, my cluth lever came without the pivot bushing pressed in........got replacement under warranty. Love all the adjustments, gear shift lever, both hand levers, suspension........ Mix riding computer shows 3.7/100, refueling math shows 4.0/100. Hope this helps someone.

someone made a video that if you use a 15T front and a 45T rear the revs will be around 5000-5200 at 100km with the overall performance remaining the same. hope that helps you

Thanks for this formative video that looks deceptively trivial but it's the kind of details that can make your life miserable if you do not care. Trying to make 350 km offroad in the day while struggling to pass the gears or trying to use sensibly the rear brake with big boots, plus a bad position of the levers can be a true pain when the wrists and shoulders are aching after a few hours. I have seen that the foot pegs look really good, and as you seem tall maybe the high seat will be necessary so the knees are not too high and bent. So getting from seated to standing will be easier offroad and better blood circulation in the legs on road. Everybody seems happy with the comfort of the seat, a very good thing as a custom seat is 300 euros and more. That reminds me that in the old days the first thing to change on the Suzuki DR 650 SE 1996 was the seat, a brillant design by surely Vlad III the Impaler. The bike was not so cheap (equivalent 5700€ 1997, 7.5 months of the 1997 french minimal wage) but after modifying and tuning the springy suspensions (400 to 500 euros), a seat 300 €, a 750 GSRX exhaust 250 € to have a responsive engine and save about 10 pounds, rejetting the carburetor and good air filter plus a good engine tuning 200€+ as the original carburation was a disaster, big gas tank Acerbis 20l 430€, maybe 2 tubliss (450€), plus details like brake metal pads150€ that makes a sum above 1500-1600€. That begins to be expensive. It's the proof that buying an overrated 30 years old tail bike and rebuild it, it's not a good operation. And when I see that the 450 MT is usable as is out of the crate, fully tunable suspensions, well tuned injection for good torque, good brakes, good seat, tubeless tires, 17 liters gas tank and so on, I think that this bike at 6500€ 2024 (4.5 months of the 2024 french minimal wage) is an excellent value for the money. In fact in acquisitive power the prices of the middle sized bikes destined to the poor bikers are gone down. For the big bikes, the last 20 years, the price in terms of months of minimal wage have remained constant 15 months and for some largely more as we find now bikes largely more expensive than cars. That means that for the low medium incomes whose wages are going down closer and closer to the minimal wage, the big bikes are unaffordable. it's easy to see by the age of the motorcyclist getting older and older and the change of the owners social classes.

Thanks for your 450MT videos - I am about to pick my one up in New Zealand next month. Probably you know already but it makes sense to back off the clamp tension on the handlebar levers so that when you drop it they can twist around the bars rather than break.. You are a gutsy rider - even when I was your age I was a modest trail rider but loved getting out on river beds and country roads with XL250s and the like. Lets hope there is going to be a new range of smaller bikes than the maxi adventurers - you can have perhaps even more fun on a lighter bike if you arent hoping to cross continents. I rode and XL250 in the highlands of PNG dropping it in rivers and so on. We did 15 days around NZ on XL175, DT250, MT250 camping out, fording rivers etc and really I have to wonder about 1250cc adventure bikes.. So I am hoping the 450MT might be a sweet spot and my first twin after owning many bikes since 1972, topping out with G650GS, XT660, DR650.. I look forward to your next videos and tips on the 450MT. Regards

It's really interesting to compare the CFmoto MT to the SR race version motorcycle (A completely different model but same engine). That SR is about 10kg lighter (!!) and has 5 HP more. The MT weighs 175kg empty and about 43HP. Couldn't they do better, especially with a 2 cylinder engine?? In a different price range; I still think the KTM690 or Husqvarna 701 is a very good balance; empty +/- 145kg and 75HP (which is way too much power, hahaha)

You really want to look at handlebar clamps before tightening, some are asymmetrical and have a long side which needs to be torqued all the way down first and leaves a gap only at the rider facing side. Symmetrical clamps want an air gap front and rear

For the life of me, I don't know why some people think that threadlocker is reusable. If you break the bond reapply threadlocker and torque the fasteners to spec in the correct order, especially with handlebar fasteners.

Hello congratulations for the video, I adjusted the brake lever, and the position driving standing is ok, one thing I noticed that the yoke of the pedal pedal seems to have increased empty, before the braking intervenes, have you also had this situation? Because on my former ktm 450 the empty play of the pedal could be adjusted, here I think not🤔

I would love to see a bi-directional quickshifter fitted in the CF Moto MT 450. I'm thinking of getting one, and the big differentiating factor between the Honda 500NX and the CF Moto MT450 is that Honda has the e-clutch. Adding a bi-directional quickshifter would be incredible.

Hi - nice bike! Definitely for that money. Hope it's reliable and durable too. New bikes usually are, for a good while at least :-) I wonder why you didn't get the Kove 450, isn't that more suitable to your riding? Much more expensive I guess? Whats the weight of your bike once it's all kitted out with crash bars etc? Cheers from a DR650 off roader from Northern Spain - hope to come meet / ride over there some time!
