Time to expiration of the ESOP 40:30. My understanding is that the P&L is impacted only during the vesting period, with the full expense for the ESOPs recognized within this time frame. The length of the exercise period beyond the vesting period has no direct impact on the P&L. Can someone explain how increased time to expiration would increase ESOP/Expense.

Sir why is diluted shares for RSUs & options calculated separately when a company can have both the structures together? Will it not show a better picture of the actual possible dilultive nature of the shares in the company?

well the curriculum does not have very broad coverage on that topic in 2024 curriculum (unlike 2023). Since it is a crash course, I have been trying to focus more on testable topics. I think we have a video (slightly dated but relevant) on KZbin that deals with that topic. We do have coverage in the crash course on IS/BS/ CFS treatment of DB plans under IFRS/US GAAP. that's some messy business for the candidates, specially the IS part. Good luck for you exams. utkarsh
