nocommentarywts Haha. I did that as social experiments too. Turns out they would hate anything that sounds remotely like FM synth for no reason because it "sounds like Genesis" and "Super Nintendo is better". Poor fools.

Likewise, I love Genesis soundtracks; that Yamaha chip is pretty special in the fact that they are capable of awesome drums, but also some 8-bit style PSG mixed in, really awesome! Also pretty easy to imagine surfing through a body of water, listening to this masterpiece! :)

I get so much nostalgic when I hear this music. Reminds me of my childhood days. Wonderful time playing all those awesome video games! Shinobi series was my favorite set of games! Thanks to the uploader for uploading this music.

I was a child of the nineties' decade and the games in that era were of very primitive technology. But still lot of games were entertaining and indulging. The younger generation probably might not like those games because they got to play more advanced games which are released these days. I like the newer games too, but the older ones especially on the NES console give me more pleasure because they are connected with my childhood. My childhood was very difficult because I was born in a third world country and we have lot of poverty here to afford a bigger console. But these low-budget games made my childhood as I could keep myself indulged in them. I wish I could also make games like these. If possible, I will learn programming and work in some gaming industry to make a futuristic remake (but old-school style) of Shinobi and other games!

This is a very nostalgic game. Really hope Sega makes Shinobi 4, since Streets of rage 4 is a success, even commercially. Too bad you only get to hear this exact song once in the entire game (Stage 4-1).

It is, I've lets played it myself recently, although I beat it in 3 videos... I did make a bonus video with an "enhanced patch" mod, where you can enable "No shuriken" mode to conserve shurikens or gain the no shuriken bonus (50000 points!!).
