I have learned after loading sence was about 14 going on 60 and having my dad being a BR shooter that your going to get a flyer once in a while there are so many factors that go into loading that the average loader doesn't even know about for instance my dad's scale cost more then all my loading gear conbine and I load for about 10 different cals anyway my 2 cents about flyers..

@@Lucysdad66 this is true. If you shoot enough there will be flyers. Everyone gets them. The key is to try to minimize them and to be as consistent as possible. Thanks for watching. I hope you will subscribe if you haven't already.

You should invest in a chronograph so you can get true velocities, sd and es. I know with my rifles I'm never close to the reported data from the books.

It's all the matter of time and money, my friend. But that is an excellent idea. I do hope to get a chronograph one of these days. Do you have a suggestion for particular model? Thanks for watching.

@EverydayReloadingandShooting I am not made of money neither. Lol. I started with the old caldwell and recently went with magnetospeed. Both work but magnetospeed is simple to use.

I've read where others had good opinions of magnetospeed as well. I will probably have to look into that at some point. Thanks for the input

yeah man, a magnetospeed is cheap compared to those radars and you don't have to mess too much with it down range--you just have to make sure it will work with your rifle. Once you have it set up for that rifle, slap it on and go--I''ll test 10 rounds for cheap loads/components and 3 rounds for expensive components. @@EverydayReloadingandShooting

Good to know; thanks. If I get one I'm sure you'll see it on KZbin 😉

soooo......have you drawn any conclusions? I am puzzled as to why the performance is so scatteshot across everything. Are we saying it prefers lite bullets? Heavy bullets? Why in the heck is it so finicky by powder charge? I personally have consigned this powder to "just for plinking/bulk loading" status.

Thanks for the comment. Reloading is about finding the right powder and bullet combination. In this video it actually did Group pretty well at 24 grains of powder with the 73 grain ELD match bullet. I plan to expand on that load a little bit loading just below and just above the 24 grain charge to see if there's any improvement. It did shoot OK with the 55 grain full metal jacket. It's a work in progress trying to find the right combination. And it's a lot of fun in the process. Thanks for watching.

What brass are you using?? Are you annealing??
@EverydayReloadingandShooting

Hi Mountain man. I purchased once fired military brass from Academy sports. It's all mixed head stamp, but I sort by weight, not by head stamp. Yes, I do anneal. that's the first thing I do when I get back from the range. Thanks for watching

@@EverydayReloadingandShooting awesome, this was good I was just looking at these 2 things. I worked up a load for the 73 gr…..it got some really tight groups with LC brass. Yet, I’ve found FC brass to work better. Weird, but it’s fun to tinker with.

It's a lot of fun experimenting with different powders, different bullets, different charge weights, different primers… Seeking that magic load that will give us the tightest groups. Best of success to you in your reloading journey.

@@EverydayReloadingandShooting yeah man, I found that LC brass, 69 gr match, 22.8 gr X-terminator gives really good groups

I've never tried X terminator. I'll have to give that a try sometime. Thanks for the information.
