I have the 2021 model which I bought new and now have 6500 km on it. It has been super reliable and the only issue I've had was a small paint blister on the fuel tank near the filler cap, which was called out by the dealer when delivered and replaced under warranty. I live in Sydney, Australia and it took around 4 months for the new tank to arrive at the time...but I believe earlier supply issues have now improved. Other than that no other issues with the bike. I agree about the foot peg position but I got used to that pretty quickly. Engine doesn't run as hot now that I have a few kilometres on it but the hot air which is directed to my right inner thigh can be annoying during our hot Aussie summers when stationary. I am over 6 foot and 95kg and the suspension was spot on straight out of the box. I find the seat very comfortable on long trips and have no issues at all in removing or replacing it. I find my mirrors are blur free, even at highway speeds. Like you, I also owned an Xmax which I traded in for the 650MT at 11,000km. I find the finishes on the CFMoto to be significantly better than the Yamaha which had a poorly finished seat, loose mirrors, and an annoying rattle in the battery compartment. The suspension was very harsh too but the fuel gauge was definitely more accurate in the Xmax! 😂 I find the MT a little top heavy too which makes me a little nervous making low speed U-turns, but I think I need to practice more in quiet parking lots to get over the fear! A great review, which I found to be comprehensive and honest. Keep up the great work!

Hi , thanks for your comprehensive feedback on how you have found your slightly older model. The hot air I find useful in warming my cold fingers 🤣 and thank you for watching.

I had a 22 plate MT650 that took me on two tours of Scotland, several around Wales and lots of other bimbles around the midlands. In all 7000 miles and the only fault was a lambda sensor which was changed in warranty quite quickly. I share your negatives, heavy, tall and a very uncomfortable seat. But for the price and the comfort of a 4-year warranty then it represents good value. I sold it last year and now have a Tracer 7gt which is lighter, smaller and I can do three hours on the comfort seat without issue. That was impossible on the MT. In all though, the MT was a superb first mid-size bike that without doubt was a better looking machine than the Tracer. Great vid btw.

So I had the original Tracer 700 previously which I would agree is lighter and has a more comfortable seat and the weight is carried a little lower from memory. Thanks for watching and dropping a comment of your experiences of ownership.

The jumpy throttle is simple to fix. There is a video showing how to reset the throttle postion sensor on the cf moto 900 and it works for the 650 also. Takes like 5 minutes to do it yourself and makes the throttle safer.

Very comprehensive review of the 650MT/Adventura. I've got the 2022 U.S. model. Its biggest difference is the turn signals are changed to match American requirements and came with panniers standard. This is my commuter and has been a great addition to the fleet. For whatever it's worth, my wife finds it more comfortable to ride as a pillion than my 1200 GS. Biggest complaint is the lack of local aftermarket and the navigation. The app started off working very well but slowly degraded to the point of unusability. I ended up buying a phone mount and use Google Maps for everything.

Thank you , can’t say my wife agreed with the comfort of the rear seat. But you can locate that video

36k kilometers on mine. 2019 version. No serious problems aside from steering bearing that got a bit loose after a few dozen drops while off-roading. I would say that it's not ideal for riding in the city due to width of the handlebar and general tippiness. Same problem with off-road riding: the bike wants to go down and most of the time it's impossible to catch. Its performance on the highway is quite good though, pushed it all the way to 190 kmh and it still felt stable. Twisties are a joy to ride on this bike, because it's easy to tip it from side to side. The engine has character and actually pretty good sound when you spin it up to 9000 rpm, at low rpm it's relatively quiet which allows for cruising without worrying about your hearing. Fuel consumption is somewhat high, aroung 6-7 litres per 100km, even more in the city. Suspension is quite good and it's adjustable. All in all, I think this bike is worth the money, the only reason I wanna change it is because I simply got bored with it, I know it so well that riding it is no longer a thrill

Hi thanks for the feedback on your 2019 model, I’d agree with it being a little tippy feeling as the centre of gravity is a bit high in my opinion. As with all bikes they have a timespan of interest, it’s nice to know they do last quite well. Thanks for watching

Just got my 650 Adventura aka “mt”….and you hit all the points I noticed the first day….peg position could move an inch forward or backwards, seat was difficult to put back on, mirrors struggle at 70+mph….overall, it’s a great bike for the cost. First accessory on my list is a windshield extension clip on (I’m 210lbs at 6’

Did you get this from Kawasaki in Clay Cross by any chance? Only guessing as you rode through C'field at the end. What bike did you intend to get?

I didn’t buy this one from Clay Cross Kawasaki they only recently started to sell them. I initially thought I’d buy the 650 GT.

Only thing I worrie about is that when I stored it for a longer time and I start the engine is smokes like hell. The dealer thells me this is normal for this bike. Only have 1K Miles on it in one year. Need to ride much more this year. Other things that bothers me is that I can't use my paddockstand cause the licenseplate is in the way.
@BlueHippoMoto
@BlueHippoMoto 4 ай бұрын
How long did you store it for , mines had a 6 week break and not smoked. As for paddock stand I put the handle on in reverse and this allowed clearance on the number plate and is still pretty stable on a flat surface. (Test with other people to hold bike and at own risk)

@Mrmarcie 4 ай бұрын
@@BlueHippoMoto Thanks, but paddockstand has no handle to reverse, it's out of one steal pipe ;). I stored the bike for (I feel embarressed) a little over 6 months.
@BlueHippoMoto
@BlueHippoMoto 4 ай бұрын
@Mrmarcie so your paddock stand is one piece, guess your best bet is to remove registration plate and see if that helps any.
@Mrmarcie
@Mrmarcie 4 ай бұрын
@@BlueHippoMoto Thanks. I can manage but it's very hard. I will look for another paddockstand and I wrote a letter to my dealer today for an estimate for a centerstand. That would also solve it.

What are the warranty conditions. Do you have to have services done by the main dealer?
@BlueHippoMoto
@BlueHippoMoto 2 ай бұрын
Services for warranty have to be done with genuine CFMOTO parts , have to be done by a vat registered Garage or main dealer , you cannot in the UK at least do your own service and maintain the warranty. This is the same with all vehicles warranty’s I believe.
