The review was very well done. I work at a shop that sells the CFmoto line and the biggest complaints I've seen are caused by the owners. They buy a reasonably priced machine and then add parts and modify the hell out of them trying to keep up with a high end sport quad owned by their buddy. When a potential customer's first questions include, what's the top speed? and what's the biggest tire I can put on there? I know where we are going! The shifter issues do exist across the entire line and some models are worse then others, but the clutch engagement is my pet peeve since I have to cram as many of these as possible into a storage building every night, and they're covered with plastic panels. Again I applaud your review and most of all, sharing that beautiful spokesmodel with us.

She maintains that this machine is one of the Best Buy’s we’ve ever made. For whatever reason, people seem to judge these machines with little to no first hand experience with them. Everyone picks on the new guy. I remember buying a new Polaris sportsman in the early 90’s and all the trash people talked about them.

@@CameronsonCamera The anti-China sentiment has gotten so politicized that it gets the standard response I've heard over and over. Many poor quality Chinese machines have flooded the market in the past and some remember them only too well. The fact that CFmoto has been around since 1989 says something about their commitment, and their partnership with KTM for building engines for them is outstanding. I haven't been able to pick up a reasonably priced used unit for myself yet, but with a fleet of 3wheelers from the 80's and a half dozen assorted 4wheelers at my property, I'm in no hurry. I did tell a potential customer they were made in Taiwan, and he loved the test ride and made a comment about, I'm glad it's not some "Chinese Junk" you guys are selling! Enough said.

We are about to purchase a 2021 Zforce 800 ex. Diligently seeking reviews, so far have enjoyed yours with your down to earth honest critique. I at 72 and my wife at 80, are looking forward to all season trail riding and winter Ice fishing. I chose this unit for it's value and seemingly endurance, as we take care and don't abuse any vehicle we own. Looking forward to this new adventure.

Great review and thank you for doing it. They have fixed the brake squealing problem on the 2022. The headlights are still pretty weak, so I need to get a light bar. My doors were also jacked up from the dealer and I had to adjust them to close. Good recommendation on the plate to protect the boot covers. The shifter is still a problem on the new ones. They don't seem worried enough about it to fix that. But I ran mine through the ringer in Moab and it performed very well. Thanks again.

It’s a bit of an inside joke. When we stop and talk to someone on the trail, one of the first questions we get “are those things any good “? Then at some point they’ll say they know someone who looked at one but thought they would be “junk”.

Hi from Oamaru New Zealand. I assemble Can-Am and CFMoto products. CFMoto is perfection from the crate which doesn't need re torquing on most fasteners. The assembly and plastics are perfect. Can Ams are all over the place and need fasteners torqued or titened all over the place. CFMoto is improving really fast. CanAm Defender's has the worst air filter location of air intake and the poorest filter setup of all as they are located in the worst area imagined and prone to have engine dusted due to no safety filter. The gauge cluster goes dead after ex kilometers on clock then requires changing.

The brakes squeal is easy to fix just anti-seize the back of the brake pads were they contact the piston and caliper. Brakes work on vibration That will cause brakes to squeal. I serviced my brakes when I first got it. I have 1150 miles on mine put on this year no brake noise.

If a person is a first timer and not sure if they are going to enjoy the sport, these would be great machines. I would be a bit afraid of a small dealer network for parts and repairs. After market parts and accessories would be very limited. Spending 30K on a new Polaris, CanAm, etc. is a serious decision not to be taken lightly. A new player would be welcome to give the others competition. Competition gives us all a better product in the end.

You have a lot of concerns that I had when we bought ours. We ended up making our own door inserts and windshield ect because nobody made them at the time, but it’s gotten a lot better in the past 2 years as far as accessories. As far as performance mods, your still very limited. That being said, you get a nice machine at a nice price

I'm guessing it depends on where you live. I'm in Nova Scotia and I have one dealership 5 mins from my house, one 30 mins from my house and two 2 hours from my house. It seems that anyone who wants into the atv/sxs market goes with Cfmoto because the other dealers for the top brands are either to expensive or their areas are already claimed.

Squeaky brakes... I have a 2023 Cforce 800 xc with squeaky brakes, LOTS OF ENGINE BRAKING, same as your machine. Are the brakes squeaking on these things because we almost never use them? I've never really hit the rears hard. I don't really use the rear brake much, just so much engine braking.

My only experience with these is a 16 model but 2 things. One a good to know and another is a caution/hope they fixed it. I found that the air intake you pointed out between the seats when going slow billows hot air into the cabin. This is nice if it's cold but torture when it's hot. A Caution/hope they fixed it: keep a close eye on your oil starting at 1000 miles. I've known several people that have owned these that at that mark they started noticing glitter in their oil. In all cases this was a prelude to engine failure. Some cases it was bad rings and others it was soft cylinder walls that ground down. This was not on modified SXS's and were owned by senior citizens. I can also hope that it was either a bad batch of engines or a faulty design that has been addressed in the last 6 years. Either way there was enough of them to steer me clear when I bought our SXS.

I have a few friends that purchased CF Moto, that was a big mistake they missed more riding than anybody in our group of about 25 machines and we ride weekly. It's too bad that we think we need to buy crap from China because it's cheaper. No brand is perfect buy you get what you pay for.
@CameronsonCamera2 жыл бұрын
That’s awesome that you have a committed group of friends that big to ride like that. This is the first cfmoto I’ve owned and with the exception of can am and ktm I’ve owned every other major brand on the market so I’m definitely not a fan boy of cfmoto. In my experience so far with my zforce, it hasn’t been any worse than the other brands I’ve had. I bought a brand new Polaris scrambler 400 that had a complete transmission failure in the first 6 months.

He was lucky they paid to replace the diff because it was out of its 6 month warranty. My machine hasn't had anything go wrong with it and cost about $3,500 less than his.
