Thanks for this video. Was interested in seeing the difference between the touring and the explore. I’ve just ordered the touring. I test rode the Honda transalp before riding the Touring and I couldn’t believe the difference, certainly in value.

Personally I think the Explorer will drop in price next year as its far too much of a jump from the touring and sport edition shown. Also CF Moto here anyway drop prices yearly in China anyway Its a no-brainer for us expats living in China. The flagship Explorer version show here is 65,000RMB here (=£7000) where as it is £12000 in UK I think on your website? (boxes, centre stand etc). Where as a base entry level F850 GS is 138,000 RMB (£15,000) in China and what £10K in UK so buying a CF is a easy decision. Interestingly there is only the Explorer version of 800MT here and the brand new (out last week ) 'X' Model. The Touring version (called N39 here) has been dropped from CF Moto line up.

What a dash ! Wow. One thing I thought. While it's great to have g maps built in and the bike has usb charging but if you need to mount your phone on the bars to charge it then g maps on the dash becomes redundant doesn't it? They look like a great range of bikes

Yes we’ve all had this discussion internally. One advantage of CarPlay is that you can control alot of elements using voice control, such as messages, nav and intercoms. The bike controls on the left bar make it much easier to utilise the features where as using a small phone screen on the fly is more troublesome. BUT you do still need to charge your phone, strange paradox. Either way it’s an epic bike we still think most people will opt for the Touring at the lower price point.

You can always plug a wireless carplay/android auto adapter and leave the phone in your bag/pocket

Thats basically what we cover in the video? Effectively beyond the Touring spec; larger touchscreen TFT, switchable dual band ABS, more rider modes, CarPlay, rear radar collision warning. Tyres.

Bingo, Apple CarPlay on a nice big LED display with vehicle speed etc. 👍 Begs the question why the likes of KTM, Triumph and BMW to name a few, who have huge displays, but don’t seem to be able to do this!
