Fatality slipped up early on with ..Nf6 (allowing Bg5), when, with ....Bg6 the position was still playable. This mistake cost firstly a pawn & then the game. I don't believe her opponent is on a different level, & Fatality is not to be deterred. She will be back! For the moment, many thanks to the players & CFN 😊.

@spensersh You need to look at the bigger picture: Fatality is still developing; she has the potential to become much stronger. One may put the question: was Mikhail Tal on a different level to Bobby Fischer in 1959? (Tal 4:0 Fischer); or was Fischer on a different level to Tal in 1972? Time makes the difference. Moreover, Tal was considered the maestro in lightning chess; until, that is, Fischer tried his hand at it & blitzed all comers (early 70s). I wouldn't read too much into ratings, because often we see lower 'rated' players beating higher rated ones. I also have the distinction of finding a move that eluded Stockfish; but, when shown the move, it found the next five key moves; I'd already found the lot, & in minutes; does that make Stockfish on a different level to me? Well, of course. But, it proves that there's always room for improvement; which is the whole point of my original comment.

@@stephenwitherington879 Very good points. And all should also consider Miss Fatality is not yet 16, and Paulina is at the height of her development at 22. What will be, will be, but Miss Fatality has only scratched the surface of her potential.

@@gerry4b Many thanks 😊. I must admit I didn't realise Fatality had not yet reached 16; which makes my earlier comment all the more apposite. I can speak personally at around her age: when GM Murray Chandler & I were around the 14/15 mark, we were at the same level (TT2 RED in the New Zealand Correspondence Chess Association); he went on to concentrate on Chess full-time; I had college, then business; however, I have returned comparatively recently & been the most surprised man at how well I can see the 'drift' in just about all positions. So, my advice to Fatality is to go full-time & see where it takes her. After all, a solid career can be made in the art & we have, yes, once again, the late great Bobby Fischer to thank for putting money into the game. Modern players have him to thank for that. Enjoy your chess & life 🙏.
