Quinn has some obvious flaws that any objective viewer can spot. That's why his draft stock has fallen so dramatically (from a pre-season first rounder to a 3rd or 4th rounder now). If he avoids turnovers against ASU we should be in great shape. To beat the top couple of teams (e.g. OSU, Oregon, Georgia) he'll have to have great games.

I think of all the quarterfinal games, this is the one that's going to be the blowout. Ewers could make some mistakes and keep it close, however. But ASU has a weaker pass game to balance the offense. They're missing their strongest, All-American WR. Texas has arguably one of the best defenses in the nation. If they successfully stuff the run and ASU gets behind, ASU will have no option but to pass first and foremost (to save clock). And Texas's pass offense is better than their run defense! Taffe and the DBs are going to eat them alive.

texas wont have issues with the asu wrs, especially since asu's top wr is out with injury, skattebo is the wild card but I dont think he will be enough to take down texas's defense, texas has many vets in their secondary that have gone toe to toe with some of the most recent doak walker award winners including bijan robinson (obvi on texas but they scrimmage) and ollie gordon (who got absolutely manhandled during the b12 champ game last year. skattebo is a different type of back and he will put up numbers but he hasnt faced this amount of physicality and pressure all year. texas is the bigger and more physical team, with jordyn tyson out asu is gonna struggle with success throwing

If Arizona's front line can stifle the rushing of Texas, Arizona wins. The fact is that Sark has stood by and watched as the defense and the run game have carried Ewers all season. ASU suffers the same syndrome Tennessee had this year. They allowed their individual successful year (singular) to think they pose legitimate threats to blue bloods. You don't. Granted, you might squeak a win out. That's college football, but 9/10 you aren't. It's like Wisconsin vs. Ohio State. Do they squeak a win sometimes? Sure. Is it ever likely? No, and no one is betting the house on that outcome.

What you seem to forget, is Texas couldn't even handle itself in the Big 12 and has been mediocre at best over the past decade, with 2 good seasons compared to all the other middling years between 2012 and now. My Mountaineers have been down since 2012 aswell, and are 5-5 all time against the longhorns. They are far from world beaters. To compare Texas to Ohio State is humorous in its own right.

ASU for the win! I'd feel even more confident if they hadn't had the layoff since the title game, but Quinn Ewers is totally average at best. So beating a mediocre Clemson team at home doesn't count for that much IMO. Nor does being near the top of a depleted and totally overrated SEC.
