you really need to remedy this by just upping resolution I think. I ran into this on a different project and I hated the surface thickness option. Creates gap between fluid and solid.
@jirituomaala44463 жыл бұрын
For those having issues with the mesh not appearing: Go to the first frame on the timeline, then click the "resolution divisions" field in your fluid domain object, and press enter without changing the value to anything new. Now play the simulation and it should have updated to show the simulation and mesh. The same bug occurs even in Maya's Bifröst simulations. These kinds of bugs MUST be fixed!

hey guys! for those whose fluid is spilling out from the bottom of the cup u can try the following 1. make your cup thicker 2. select your cube, sphere and cup and scale them up at once and try baking at different variations of scales...(u might wanna use replay as the type of cache for this ) 3. change the size of the sphere (try different variations in replay type) 4. change resolution divisions by factors of tens or fives. IF YOU KEEP THE RESOLUTION DIVISIONS SAME YOU WILL HAVE TO CLICK ON THE RESOLUTION DIV. VALUE AND JUST PRESS ENTRE WITHOUT CHANGING FOR MAKING THE CHANGES YOU MADE WORK i guess it will solve the issue if u do this I did the same ...i just kept my res. div. to 5 and thickened my cup and scaled all of the objects up ....then i scales my sphere down... i did all this in replay type

4:48 I found a solution for those, who have fluid simulation and checkbox "mesh" is not working. In the "flow" settings, you switch to active the "initial velocity" checkbox, and you should go in the "flow source" and scroll "surface emission" slider, play with the values, in my case i set "0.00150" and all start to work, i think any value other than 0 will do. So in the "domain" you need to increase the "resolution divisions" from 32 to 64. The mesh will start to disappear, the water will start to flow. The author of the video should explain for possible problems in the process of creating a simulation. And sorry for my bad english, i hope I wrote everything clearly enough. UPD: if this solution dont help you, go to "Cache", set type to all and set checkbox "resumable" to active, and click Bake all

If anyone encounters an "Unbaked guides" error above the baking button, there is a checkbox for "Guides" in the just below the "Liquid" checkbox in the Domain options. Just uncheck that "Guides" box, and you should be good to go!

For anybody who had issues with the liquid showing up or mesh I had success by making sure nothing was intersecting the mesh. I did this tutorial and a different version, ensuring no intersection of my basin (or cup) made baking possible. Once baked, the mesh appears (which means the cube domain disappears). The other comments regarding mesh may be helpful, but I messed around (intersecting domain) and that seems to have been my consistent problem.
