I really don't know why this English is a big issue. Plenty of world leaders don't know English they always speak in their mother tongue. In uk loads people do not know speak English on top of that loads English people don't know how to write their own mother tongue. Just like basil kaputas he could not speak English tamil or sinhalese his mother tongue properly. This inferiority complex is big illness in sri lankan people doesn't matter tamil or sinhalese.
