Hermeticism, Hermes Trismegistus, & The Seven Hermetic Principles: History, Influence, & Occultism

This is Spiritual Studies session #21. This is an intro to Hermeticism. The first half of the video is broad understanding of Hermeticism's influence, history, and an elaborate answer to the question Who is/was Hermes Trismegistus, the second half is a diving into the mind of Hermeticism. The second half especially gives a synthesis of how to understand/approach the confusion and ambiguity of all that surrounds "Hermeticism."

There's a reason this knowledge is slowly becoming more and more popular. I think a growing number of people are beginning to realize that physicalism and materialism aren't fundamental to nature. That there is something more, something deeper to reality that can't necessarily be tested in a lab because it's true nature is esoteric and occult.

Very well rounded! Only thing I would add is in regard to rhythm. Everything dies and has a re birth. My favorite example is the seasons. It is such a big step that is really hard for us humans to trust. Not letting things die bleeds into everything else. Which then creates our shadow self.

Explendid walk-through of Hermeticism "the explanation of the mechanics in the mental, physical and living realm". Unfortunately Hermeticism never defines any aspects of the non-physical nature of cosmic mechanics, which many believes, and put a risk on followers to end up religious (turn them away from retroductive thinking). The Kybalion has very little to do with Greco-Egyptian Hermeticism. All these different forms of Hermeticism have to be understood in their own historical context. Can't mash stuff from the 20th century with stuff from the 2nd century

If Gnosticism is about escape... Why didn't they just check out early? People are too caught up with transmigration of the soul. Ie. What is in the next life, too worried about where you gonna end up instead of putting emphasis on where you are... What you are doing. How are y'all making this life one worth being part of and focusing on the kingdom of heaven within the heart and mind and making this life a type of heaven...?

That's a bad interpretation of the gold slit experiment. When they said "observe" the particles, they didn't mean "look at with eyeballs." The particles are so tiny, that measuring them fucks with them. Using particle to measure particles... Imagine taking a ruler to a balloon. If you press hard with the ruler, the balloon with stretch.. giving you a false measurement. Or when you measure tire pressure.. technically, you're releasing air from the tire to be let into the measure-tool.. and therefore, aren't getting a 100% accurate reading. Honestly, it's like taking a measurement of rolling billiard balls using other rolling billiard balls... The whole gold split experiment has gotten lost and warped thanks to KZbin scholars. What you mentioned is not accurate nor faithful to the actual experiment or the conclusions drawn from it. Looking at things with your eyeballs doesnt change their quantum properties. (Quantum just means super duper extra tiny. The smallest possible.)
