This is Spiritual Studies session #36.
This session serves as an introduction to Kabbala. The theme of the Tree of Life, or a tree having significance in spiritual traditions seems to all gravitate toward the bonafide tradition of Kabbalism. This session ties the beliefs of Kabbalism to its neighbors and helps one who's unfamiliar to get a lay of the land.

Really loving this one! The Kabbalah ties so many things together for me. I am trying to understand where the 12 and 7 so commonly found in the Bible/sacred knowledge in the the Kabbalah. It was always a challenge to see how it fits into the archetypal 12 and 7. Seeing that Kabbalah focuses on the 10 Sefirot and 32 Paths of Wisdom! Good stuff!! 😇

You can get 12 in a rather hacky way. Some traditions designate a missing sphere in the middle called "Daath," that's 11, and then in many illustrations you'll see "Ain Soph" above Keter, wam bam, 12. 7 is easier, take the supernal triangle out of the equation (the purely spiritual upper three), and manifestation is thus constituted by the lower 7, the direct body of existence. An arbitrary but notable division within the tree.

Really enjoying these lectures, and they are giving me all sorts of inspiration for further study and meditation. As a transgender person, I must admit to feeling rather iffy about the implications of the sex/gender-locked metempsychosis myself, but not mine to reason why. ;)

Love the fact the tree of life connects hexagons. Randal Carlson left that one out of his viral video lecture on sacred geometry lol It's my interpretation of knowledge that humanity has failed to make it to the kingdom many times, only to have to start over from scratch as a civilization ...preserving more knowledge each attempt. It's a race against time, which is our prison and the greatest of challenges. It's self-centered people who are holding us back... I have a couple of thought experiments that make this without doubt. Reincarnation of civilization is the kicker and people can't be told that this map called tree of light has given humanity direct access to the emurging God or The All already and for quite long time ...we just havnt been made clearly aware ...it's up to us to train our minds on the light and to practice seeing and dercerning.... cognitive dissonance holds most back

There is a very interesting paper published by a famous Assyriologist named Simo Parpola titled “The Assyrian Tree of Life” that you might find very interesting as to the antiquity of “Kabbalah” (what ever it was called in that context).
@watermelonlalala
@watermelonlalala 5 ай бұрын
I haven't read Parpola's article, yet, but I just read Otto Lehto's piece on the theory. Apparently, the Assyrians were way ahead of the Greek philosophers with "God is One" theories.But, I don't see how gluing other peoples' gods onto the Jewish "tree" serves any purpose. They immediately have trouble with Ishtar/Beauty and Ishtar/War and Ishtar/Womb and Ishtar/Nurturing Mother. I mean, you can sit there and try to make it all fit, but what is the point? Ishtar doesn't need to be stuck in this limited frame, nor do the other gods. It doesn't help.

My favorite of the Zohar was The Golem You nailed it especially the multi dementional metaphorical... the calculus wars made me aware. There somethings your missing, and that is where William Sidis comes in ... because there are some things that are still being held back and suppressed ...light being both energy and knowledge, and the great reset is actually what Sidis referred to as the great reversal, and there really is a matrix of light and time of which our Star plays an important role ..cycles within cycles.

Even here Midgard is connected to all of the other realms... Although the Tree of Life is not the same mystery as the World Tree. It is, but because the cosmogony is assymetric the Tree of Life starts from the bottom, while World Tree traditions have the universe staring with a separation of opposites so the tree extends both up and down from the Earthly Realm

More jewish mysticism is on the roster. However, it will be infrequent. My inspiration dislikes being locked in on one tradition too long. But there's much more to divulge here. Qlipoth is usually left unmentioned in these circles, which of course peaks my curiosity to tackle that taboo.

For the sake of arguement, let's say that I am a teacher. Notice then that the things that I say are determined by the things you say. In oral traditions there is an exchange which informs the revelation (it is not up to the teacher, the student calls forth the teaching). I can write it down, but you might as well read the pages in random order. There is nothing different in the oral tradition vs what you can read in books these days. Yet the teacher acts as a personal trainer of some sorts, reflecting the student's nature back on him so he may see from the various experiences that he is indeed a soul and if he pays attention there are external forces guiding him in his destiny... The path becomes clear when you flow with the Tao/Dharma/Ma'at

34:24 “there is no evil” 35:25 “it’s giving no credence to devils, demons” What is the sitra achra then?
@cgdahlin
@cgdahlin 2 жыл бұрын
Also, Kelipot. It's a curious claim to make though right? That it's not giving credence. As speakers for religious traditions, it does, at times, serve to make bold remarks, to mark sharp distinctions. I feel the intent of that in their source material was mostly to cut out Qlipoth conversation. As I've studied it, contemporary Kabbalism really wishes to press away from the conversation of evil, seeking to pursue inner light, all else is just dilly-dally. To seek the inner will of G as oppose to the outer will of G. The outer will simply functioning to offer free will. Though, it very well could be that upon further in initiation, modern kabbalists discourse on this much more. But regardless, in witness of Judaism in contrast with Christianity, the lesser infatuation with say like demonology is apparent, so I'd say the statement holds water. Though, this isn't to say that earlier Judaism didn't give plenty of lip-service to demons.

The tree of life is The Ten commandments. If you don't follow the ten commandments then Satan (Samma'el) has jurisdiction over your soul and you will not eat from the tree of life ever again you'll be stuck in outer darkness.

Well I didn't know about the giving and receiving aspect of Kabbalah, that's very interesting. As for their gender locked views on reincarnation, I'm biologically not entirely male or female and I'm transgender... Soooooo... They should talk to the Universe about that one... Because science and I disagree. I'm also pretty sure reincarnation isn't locked to just human form. I definitely lean more towards the Buddhist view on that that you can become an animal if you didn't do great, a angry spirit if you were worse than that... And if you were worse still, like a politician or a billionaire...you will go to a very bad place and learn some painful lessons and work your way back up towards being human... because you did a lot of harm in your lifetime for entirely selfish reasons.

I respect your opinion although I disagree with it, there is much more than gender roles and all that jargon. This is about the occult, Rosie Cross, black magic and more. Set asides right world views and soak in other and learn to sort based on rationality rather than emotion. That’s all
